You could easily ask yourself, Why hasn't Schiff allowed Republicans to question witness's in closed door hearings? Why haven' the Republicans been allowed to call witness's. Schiff received $350,000 in contributions from the Defense industry then pushed for aid to the Ukraine. He received $100,000 from AT&T then AT&T got government contracts. That's just two examples of what these politicians do; all of them, all the time. Trump and his phone call doesn't compare. The reason Presidents don't always go along with investigations is called Executive Privilege. I do not know of a president that hasn't used it.
More importantly you liberals never look at the intent of a statute or the Constitution. You never read the Framers opinions or why they wrote what they wrote. Smedly, Blade Runner and some others on OPP are very good at this. The High crimes and Misdemeanor statue including treason and bribery was meant by the Framers to mean a President that was bribed. Was Obama bribed when he made a deal with the Taliban for Bowe Bergdahl? Using the current definition for bribery every congress critter is guilty. You build a base here and I'll v**e for appropriations. That crap goes on constantly. Joe Biden said you get rid of a prosecutor that just happened to be investigating a company his son was a board member of or Joe says you don't get the aid package. They are in the Executive Branch ignoramus. It’s called Executive Privilege. No one has to honor a Congressional subpoena unless a Court orders it.

Apparently his show was stopped in the middle, it would be fairly obvious to make a connection to wh**ever he was talking about. And actually if the network wants to have a say in what is being aired it would be easy enough to do.

This is a new thing that trump made up, when Nixon declared that he was going to keep people from testifying the DOJ declared that they would be arresting to those who refused to comply with subpoenas.

Nobody in the Obama admin refused to comply with subpoenas, and when holder failed to turn over documents he was ordered by a court to comply...so what makes it okay for trump to decide he can do this? And by the way, he has been ordering people who are not in the executive branch not to comply. Also there is no executive privilege where the laws have potentially been broken as the matter under scrutiny.

The state department is being undercut and demoralized by moronic policies and senseless abuses of power. The president needs to support the wisdom and decisions of the people in positions of diplomacy and power, not them bend to his capricious will.
