Well, yeah, China is used to getting breaks as though it were still a third world producer....But I believe the point that President Trump doesn't negotiate from the perspective of politics is correct

Nope, not at all. As I read it, the ex-official is saying what Trump would want to hear. “(Trump) makes the U.S. decision-making process efficient and t***sparent, because he basically says what it is,” ...that's flattery, because Trump can contradict himself on a daily basis without so much as a 'how do you do'. The Chinese know this. It's not like they are going to set out to antagonize him.
And since T***p w*n't get re-elected, the Democrats won't be saying China helped him, despite the fact that he publicly asked for their help.
