You mean a real LACK of training. I suppose it was a good day for each in that nobody died. But, I guarantee that lessons were learned by all.

These people obviously didn't have any real training, and the videos they had taken for the fun of it just turned out to be tools for trolls.

The taken videos may well have been fun, but not for the subjects..

There's no question that there are a ton of people out there who need firearm training. Many of them are the kind of i***ts folks who depend on the government (Armed Forces, Police, etc.) to keep them safe. And they listen to bigger i***ts their leaders who tell them things like..."Buy a shotgun"

We all find some strange advise from unexpected people..

I can always come up with 2 at any moment..

one.. the first anti nuclear power warning, came from a fellow laborer on construction who was Hungarian refugee.. very intelligent and a fine person, presented me with printed info and stats out the blue one day..

two... warning about how dangerous hand guns were to have in a home environment and that they should not be owned by civilians.. from a very real and hard line Marine Captain on a camp Pendelton training exercise.. to a number of us boots and others while we cooked c rats over a fire.. gee, darn near a picnic..

But anyway, while i agree with the set of people needing training, I would never label them by right wing/left wing. they are no doubt from all political leans and most would have not political view at all..

Hard to say it, but home protection, a hand gun would be the only thing.. except maybe a baseball bat...

I love these videos with people who virtually couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. Yes, many do need training. That was part of what I did for my career. They also have to know sure the side grip looks "cool" in gangbanger films, but you're going to break some fingers doing it in real life. This will sound extremely dumb, do you know why the gun usually doesn't fire? The owner forgot to load it. I forgot who it was in here, this was almost a year ago, someone said he keeps a can of wasp repellant in his car, that's damn smart. Especially with the red f**g laws.

You know what you are talking about and I agree with you.. I never was a trainer but I hunted with a fellow who forgot to load, even after standing next to me as I loaded and then he lost a clear shot at a Grouse and wondered why..

Never heard of the wasp spray but darn good idea..

I somewhat agree with your last sentence but a baseball bat, no matter how good a hitter you are, is a poor excuse for hitting and stopping a bullet. Mike
