Actually what the Democrats are calling for is adopting many of the things people enjoy in the reunited Germany. Strong labor rights that protect working families, a universal health care system, investment in high quality education including subsidies for post secondary education. Strict environmental protections, and higher quality standards for our food.

Of course, an impeachment inquiry is essentially the same as imparting a grand jury. Wrongdoing by the President is alleged and then through a process of subpoenas of records and interviewing of witnesses under oath and related investigation the wrongdoing is determined to be impeachable or not by the entire house. It is completely wrong for the White House to withhold witnesses and documents but the courts will resolve this it just takes time. If Trump is impeached and the case is sent to the Senate he and his lawyers will have the opportunity to cross examine any witnesses and refute other evidence. Claims of unfairness are simply a made up distraction to a completely above board constitutionally mandated process.
