Cary Grant and Me

Years ago I brokered aReal Estate deal. I sold the top half of a mountain in the foothills of the Pocono mountains. The buyers owned a
large beauty supply corporation, but one problem was that there was no right of way to it.
The buyers used the company helicopter, their private one and leased two to haul every thing needed to build their mansion on top.
Cary Grant was on the Board of Directors. He and I rode to the home in the same helicopter.
Because this was the house warming party everyone brought a gift. I knew many influential people and one of the two US Senators persuaded one of the landowners to sell a right-of-way to the property. A group oif friends and I had paid for it. When I gave it to them they told me that I had a life time of free makeup for me. I asked if I could assign it to my wife. The answer was "Yes."
Throughout the evening Mr. Grant and I talked quite a bit. He asked if I had ever out of the country and I told several years in Japan. Mr. grant asked if I knew an attornry William Logan Jr. When I told him he was my father he told me that my father had looked out for him when he perfotmed in Japan. He then told the guests that I had gotten my consideration for others from my parents. He told them about several orhanages my father and fiends had opened for G.I. babies. Japanese babies with a militaey father and G. I. fathers.
My wife did not want to go to the party. When I got home I told my wife about the evening and Cary Grant. She did not believe me.
