And here's the ironic thing - they'll keep electing the people (democrats) who MADE the laws, cuz they squandered the people's money, but attack the cops whose job it is to ENFORCE said laws.

Mayor DeBlasio and the rest of the far left Democrats who run New York have made it plain that they don't have NYPD's back, and it's having the left's desired effect, fomenting chaos.
There has been a rash of cop suicides, the police chief just resigned in disgust and you can bet that all the experienced officers with 20 years or more on the job are in retirement mode.
There are enough events in Manhattan, from parades to demonstrations to U.N. functions, that bring a lot of overtime, and an NYPD pension is based on the amount of money a cop makes in his last year before throwing in his papers.
The more experienced police officers they can cause to quit or retire, the more inexperienced rookies they can put on the streets, and that will only help the cause of creating chaos.
What the i***t "progressive" elitists who elect these corrupt far left politicians don't seem to understand, having had little exposure to criminals for the most part, is that the more criminals are emboldened, the more likely they are to begin targeting the upper east and west side neighborhoods these same elitists live in.
To compound everything else, they're also closing Riker's Island and redistributing the prisoners, except for a few thousand they're simply
releasing, to three new jails in three different places, none of which, "coincidentally," will be anywhere near where any of the politicians live.
They're also planning to eliminate bail as they deem it "unfair" to economically challenged criminals, and DeBlasio has a plan to reward them for showing up for their court appearances with things like gift cards and N.Y. Mets tickets.
Meanwhile, already emboldened, various scumbags throw water on cops, physically attack cops, vandalize parked police vehicles or simply confront officers and loudly insult them and cuss them out.
That is
not the same great New York I mostly grew up in.
