Actually, if we accept that we are all sinners and a homosexual is no longer practicing the acts, then a homosexual might be qualified to preach.

Being homosexual is not a sin! Engaging in homosexual activities is the sin. But to be perfectly honest so is heterosexual sex outside of lawful marriage. Homosexual sex violates the laws of nature too.

In some cases already married clergy converts from other traditions will be ordained, but that’s about it. Excluding JWs and Mormons.

If they are accepted as "converts" why are they not ordained?

That seems similar to a once held belief in the Mormon Church: not until 1978 could a person of color make it into the ranks of their clergy.

The God I serve is "the same yesterday, today, and forever." My God does not make mistakes, so there is no need for 'change' as in accepting converts, but restricting their ability to work.

Once again, where does God forbid gays from preaching?
God gave you the freedom to do as you wish. Grab your Queen James Bible, your silk and velvet robes and go to work.

The Episcopal Church is an apostate church. No true Christian would pass thru their doors. They have a lot of money because of years of hefty endowments before they fell so they'll be around for awhile. They were the first to ordain women and the first to consecrated lesbian bishops. They look good on the outside and inside furnishings but are corrupt and rotting from within theologically. The Faith is always more sacred than the furniture. An old Anglo Catholic Bishop, who for years was an Episcopal priest, told me after he left the Episcopal church that someday two lesbians bishops will be copulating on the Alter during a Communion Service when one little old lady in the pews turns to the little old lady next to her and says, "that's it for me. If they change one more damn! thing I'm leaving!" But they never will. The furniture is more important than the faith. The Episcopal Church led other denominations into accepting that which is sinful and unacceptable within Christianity.

It is unquestionably the Church for you! You'll damn the Catholics but if your church allows sexual deviants then it's OK.

So far as clergy making lots of money it is wrong. I'll let you try and figure out why in your secular mind.

==============
Clergies don't make lots of money.
After 8 years to 10 years of study, new ordained priests earn $25,000 to $36,000 per year. That's not even enough for apartment rent and many other expenses.
Priests of long services are paid average of $46,000 to $47,000 per year. With the current economy, that does not even meet the middle class income at present which range from $50,000 to $90,000. That is middle class. Priests also pay SS and Medicare. They also pay income tax.
Some priests have housing allowance, but not all. In our Archdiocese, priests are provided housing allowance. Not much but a modest apartment. Priests have lots of work at present, since we are in shortage of priests and deacons who assist. Our church has a Catholic school until high school. Catholic teachers are hired to teach. Priests are only for the Church liturgy, and planning for all church needs, including planning for budgetary expenditures. Priests take care of all the parishioners' needs in the Catholic worship.
Kids are taught attending liturgy, accompanied by their teachers in Church. Everyday at 9:AM, there are masses offered to the faithful who want to attend.

Typical how crazy old loons always say all churches except theirs are apostate.

The Episcopal Church was the better for getting shed of that filthy old man.

Just like it—among others—led other denominations away from the belief that blacks bore the mark of Cain and therefore were only suited to serve white people.

The Catholic Church does not recognize the validity of JW and Mormon baptisms. All others are OK.

For a gay man to have straight sex would be a sin against his nature.
Ergo, loving, committed gay people do not sin by having sex. God did not create a race of celibate drones.

There are evil doers in every profession on earth. Only a bigoted fool would blame the whole group because of the actions of a few.

I have always puzzled over the question as to why, since marriage is one of the sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church, as is Ordination, why celibacy is insisted upon for priests and monks and nuns-it is illogical, since God said "Be fruitful and multiply", and the church decries and used to consider it a mortal sin, to use contraception-but then, I am not a Catholic, and none of my RC friends had an answer. I asked a couple of priests of my acquaintance, and they just talked around it. I suspect some pope somewhere back in the day decided it would be a good rule to make from his throne. Papal decrees made ex cathedra happen to be deemed equal to God's own Word in Roman Catholicism. Might be interesting to do some research to see when that became a prohibition.

Celibacy just like every other way of life has its ups and downs. My brother is a priest and I have been close friends of many other priests. The catholic church was the first established church after the death of Jesus the Christ. At that time it was established that they be celibate. They would not have chosen the profession (or rather been chosen by God) to undertake the Priesthood if God were not there giving his special graces..

I can't say its mentioned about preaching but considering how definite GOD and Jesus were about homosexual activity I would say not exceptable Leviticus 18-20:10 23-24-30/Genesis 19/mark7:18/Roman1 verse 18-19-22-23-24-26-28/Mathew 27:12
