I have hosted talk shows, played in a TV show for two years, written several text books, presented many seminars and been blessed a multitude of times.
Recently I was diagnosed with PTSD. A month ago I had an implant placed to get my bladder working again. We learn from people of various backgrounds and teach them also.
When I went back to the doctor after the surgery I met his nurse practitioner and she shared something about her seven year old daughter Kendall. Kendall loves to draw and asked her mom if she thought it would be OK for her mom to give her drawings to people who had just had surgery. Mine was a beautiful drawing of a rainbow. I hung it so that it was the last thing I saw before sleeping and the first thing I saw upon awakening. When PTSD rears it's head I look at it and thank God for this young person.
Thirty years ago I taught real estate and law courses at a college. I saw one of the teachers who still teaches there. She told me that the Dean of The College told her that she could ask me to motivate her class. I used my life experiences and my text "Essential Learning Sk**ls."
It was so much fun and the teacher told me that she and the whole class learned a great deal of knowledge from it. I have been asked about doing the same thing in other class rooms. This was the day after my 84th birthday. It brought me back to my youth when I was only 80.
