Dictatorial overtures: WH refusing Constitutionally legal subpoenas

Impeachment proceedings is well within the purview of Congress; it is in no way, shape, or form illegal. Refusing this legal process is criminal and subject to fines and imprisonment. It can also be taken in certain extreme circumstances s******n or treason, punishment by death. If those refusing to testify know that the president of the US conspired by intimidation to gain political advantage over a political opponent through a foreign government agency, they may face punishment by death.

Not to comply with the subpoenas from Congress is what dictators do: ignore the law of the land. And he has Barr working as his personal lawyer, as well as the WH counsel. Both are supposed to be independent and working for the office of presidency, not the president. Our whole justice system is being corrupted by Trump and his flunkies.

The SCOTUS will decide what is, and what is not Constitutional, not you, and not Antsy Nancy.

Then why is it closed and behind doors and the minority has no rights? Guess the D's are still mad about losing and think we the people and any GOP members don't deserve equal rights or consideration. You guys just never play fair. That's why nobody attends your rallies and v**es for you anymore. But keep digging that hole and say hello to the Chinese when you get there. I'm sure you'll feel right at home after you pick up some of the lingo. Have a v**e or it isn't a real impeachment just an inquiry. I think inquiries are optional to attend since the Prez is one branch of government all by himself. But he's letting those that want to play along attend if they want to since he hasn't committed any crimes. San Fran Nan will never hold a v**e because she doesn't have enough of them and she would just look stupid again. GITMO just added 1,000 more cells, it seems they need a geriatric ward for all your old geezers. Warren proved again she isn't a real Indian, she only wants the government to have guns. You guys can't do anything right, not even by accident.

If you're really concerned about dictators take off your blinders and take a good look at the House of Representatives.

Is it your imagination that Barr is Trump's personal lawyer or are you only an imaginative liar?I

You might want to consider that Trump has rights both as President and as an American citizen. The constipated Congress under Pelosi is unquestionably completely out of control. Their time could well be limited.

You obviously know nothing of the law. Any citizen has a legal right to fight any subpoena that he believes is unlawful, over reaching or an abuse of power. It is called having a subpoena quashed.

He has that power but not the Constitution? Lol, too funny, that is what any dictator would say.

Where in the constitution does it say the House of Representatives has complete power and oversight over the Executive branch of government.

You thoroughly miss the point: they are not fighting the subpoenas but ignoring lawful ones.

Ignoring it because you believe it to be unlawful is fighting it.

They are not subpoenas, they are strongly worded letters that have about as much legal weight as the ink that they are printed with. The dems are just using the word "subpoena" to make it look like there will be consequences if they are not adhered to. These letters do not mention that the House Dems will go to an actual court to compel compliance. The only threat is what can be done within the House, not in courts. That is not a subpoena in any real legal sense of the word, it is toothless in the end. No bite, no ability to force compliance or risk a court finding against the WH.

No Barbara Wah-Wah Walters here. Just stating facts you can't grasp. I just consider you a blind man.

Add to that. These are not Judicial subpoenas, they are congressional. This is pure politics. Nothing more. The corruption apple cart is being exposed. What we are seeing is a lot of unethical behavior for decades that may or may not be criminal. See the gas company the fuss is about and where their lobby money went. If it’s not illegal, we need tougher laws.

Read the constitution on what the House of Representatives is required to do in conducting an impeachment

That's the problem. Seems the House of Representatives of the United States has deemed themselves to be the reining power of Americal! That's the definition of a C**p. Trump just might impose Martial Law if they continue down this avenue...and I would support him a thousand percent.
