I have never owned a dog, if that is an acceptable way to phrase it. I grew up in a Bronx Housing Development, no pets allowed. From probably seven to 12 I would find some stray and make my arguments for keeping it. I think I always used the name Wolfie. No luck. Seeing those pictures in a way makes me sad; a boy needs a dog. That relationship is a great test and lesson about how to be in this world. That shared love helps to build a big heart, character, and empathy. A video game does not.

Love the pictures anyway.

Sorry for you, buddy! You're dead-nuts on about how much you can learn from a shoe chewin', ball chasin', junk lickin' furry bundle of unadulterated love and loyalty. We're between dogs right now which is hard, but we'll do it again soon.

If and when you can swing it, move to the country or at least where you can have a fenced-in yard. If not get a bird. I used to have a yellow cockatiel and he was always sitting on my shoulder and eyeballing my food. He loved pizza.

Good ones. Of course, any dog photo is great.
