I'm listening to Trump right now speak about Turkey!! Right to now he is being delusional about Turkey keeping ceasefire and Kurds love it what we have done!!!!!! Since Trump removed US from Syria we now have to worry about Russia and Iran especially threatening our only alli Israel. I know I'm going to get a lot of push back ,but I don't care . He made the biggest mistake of his Presidency by pulling us out of Syria like that!!!! I support him in many other things, but NOT this one!!!!!!

Proud, the best outcome to this debacle would be for the Kurds to align themselves with Assad and form a united front against the Turks. Syria does not pose a threat to the United States, and we have no business sticking our nose in their internal affairs. Having said that, Trump is not pulling our troops out, he is simply re-deploying them in norther Syria away from the Turkish troops. We are guarding the oil fields and depriving Assad of using their own oil for domestic consumption.

The base we bombed and destroyed because there was not enough time to pack it all up?

Are you sure the US isn't protecting US oil fields? Trump has once again disrupted a status quo, a hard fought for stability, and done a huge favor for Erdogan and Putin. Russia will do a replay on Afghanistan and back forces that take these US interests, and this time the US will be on the losing end of this fight.

If we are going to be so pro nationalist we need to just get the hell out and let oil companies worry about their own oil fields, it's what mercenaries are for...

Meanwhile Erdogan is on his way to meet with Putin to talk strategy, and it isn't going to be beneficial to US interests, Putin is teaching Erdogan how to play hard ball against a president he owns.

Trump needs to be removed from office before Putin and Erdogan start really pushing his buttons, he's too easy to play

Stop thinking in single level incidents, there are other resources, two million Kurds are going to be displaced by the time this is done.

How many Syrians were murdered and "displaced" by Obama's red line policy?

We are in the now, not the past, we had been behind a hard fought for stability and Trump single handedly threw that to Erdogan and Putin.

You know what's next? Lots of Russian mercenaries attacking oil fields the US is protecting for US corporations, hopefully Trump is removed from office before he has to turn tail and run from escalating confrontations.

Erdogan has a score to settle with Trump and is openly saying so, and Putin has a big one that he has vowed to get paybacks from being whipped in Afghanistan.

So much for Pence's big cease fire, what a joke

Go get him, PR, the left needs all the help they can get.

(As Turkey prepared to launch an operation in northeastern Syria, Putin called Erdogan ON THE PHONE and told him to avoid any steps in Syria that could damage its peace process.).

FYI: In August this year, Netanyahu and Putin met for the ninth time in 3 years. During this three-year time frame, Netanyahu has met with Putin more than with any other world leader, including US presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

It is no small achievement that, indeed, there has not been any clash – accidental or otherwise – between Russian and Israeli forces in Syria over the last three years. This is not something that can be taken for granted, something that just happens. Rather, the understanding and cooperation necessary to avoid those clashes have been a direct result from the meetings between these two leaders.

These nine meetings have ensured that Israel knows what Russia’s vital interests are in Syria, that Russia understands the vital concerns of Israel, and that both countries steer clear of harming what is of critical importance to the other.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, is the message that Putin standing alongside Netanyahu sends to the Iranians.

Russian and Iranian interests in Syria are far from identical, and Moscow has let the Iranians know on more than one occasion that it would like them to leave Syria. The meeting with Netanyahu, the closeness between the two, is a subtle hint to the Iranians that if they do not accede to Russia’s demands – something that is by no means a given – Russia may give Israel a freer hand to operate in Syria than it has been given up until now.

I have no doubt that Trump is disappointed as well, because Erdogan obviously lied to him about his invasion. Trump can't very well tell us what Erdogan promised him in that Sunday phone call.

You are so messed up. "We are in the now" you tout, not Obama's huge cowardly blunder resulting in so much death and destruction in Syria. Is it perhaps because Syrian Orthodox Christians were slaughtered that you take such a cavalier attitude about Obama's cowardice and a stranglehold to everything Trump? The thing I wish for you is that Trump not only wins in 2020 but that we take the House and Senate with super majorities. Your head will explode! There will be no eulogy I expect.
