For every incident where innocent people are k**led by a person with a gun, there are literally hundreds of incidents like this where the presence of a gun prevented an innocent person from being harmed or worse. And just like this instance, most of the time, no shots are fired. The mere existence of the gun and the chance that the lady might have shot and and may have hit the assailant was all it took to get the knucklehead to beat feet. Couldn't have happened in a "gun-free zone". She would've been assaulted. The 2nd Amendment was designed for, among other things, just this kind of situation.

When someone that big and that young starts dancing around with his fists up to a little old granny, it's in her best and indeed sanest interests to take it seriously. One punch could land her in the hospital in serious condition, or worse.

Had she shot that a**hole and I were the judge, I would've dismissed the case right off the bat.

Of course, that's just me...

While I do think the big jerk was playing a role.. the action was something many Americans would applaud.

And I really am impressed by gamma..

As for the political topic of guns.. as I have said many times, I am for regulation of guns, but very opposed to confiscation of gun.. that puts me among the overwhelming majority of Americans..

And I love the idea of granny and her gun putting down the gang banger..
