Jeremiah chapter 5

Verse 1 - 3

Before God destroys a city, He looks for some good in it. The people would say they love God, but they were lying. They didn’t learn from tough situations. Instead of expecting God to save us from tribulation. We should read Acts 14:22. God doesn’t save from tribulation. God saves through tribulation. In Revelation 7:14, angels come out of great tribulation. You can’t come out unless you go in.

Verse 4 - 6

The United States has become corrupt. Because of this, we are stuck on stupid.

Verse 7 - 9

Hopefully, we will repent before we hit bottom. Character matters.

Verse 10 - 12

When we find ourselves in negative circumstances, we should ask what we can do to prevent the situation from occurring again.

Verse 13 - 15

While pastors are rich getting richer, the morality of this nation gets worse with each generation.

Verse 16 - 18

What happened to the South Americans walking to our border planning to steal the wealth our fathers died that we have? Did they disappear?

Verse 19 - 24

Like Israel and Judah bowed down to idols in the land God gave them, the children of Jacob would serve strangers in a strange land. If America is no longer a Christian nation, then Christians should leave. God is in control. Let’s see what happens.

Verse 25 - 29

We should follow Christ wherever He leads.

Verse 30 - 31

There will be no rapture. Those who want to escape tribulation are cowards. The gospel armor doesn’t include wings.

Hello my friend,

Amillennialism:
(prefix “a,” “no”). The belief that there is no literal 1000-year reign of Christ. Thus Revelation 20 is taken symbolically, not literally, by adherents of this view. Amillennialists generally believe that Israel has been permanently set aside for all time and that God’s current plan of salvation involves only the Church.

Church Age:
The “Church Age” began on the day of Pentecost and will end at with rapture of the church before the beginning of the tribulation. Many dispensationalists believe the Church is the reason why there is a gap between Daniel’s 69th and 70th week.
(Daniel 9:24-27
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." Dan 9:24-27

Dispensationalism:
The view that believes God’s dealings with men have proceeded through well-defined time periods, in each of which God reveals a particular purpose to be accomplished in that period, to which men respond in faith or unbelief.

Jacob’s Trouble:
Called by Jeremiah as “the time of Jacob’s trouble” and by Daniel as “the time of distress such as never occurred,” this event will take place during the 3 1/2 year reign of antichrist. The time of Jacob’s trouble will be a time of great suffering on earth. The suffering will be brought on by the actions of the Antichrist and by the wrath of God being poured out on a sinful world.
(Jeremiah 30:7
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." Jer 30:7)

Preterism:
The belief that nearly all prophetic events have already occurred. The year 70 AD is a popular date where Preterists claim that the book of Revelation was fulfilled. Under preterism you are basically left to just waiting for Jesus to return.

Rapture:
At an unknown hour and day the Lord Jesus will descend from heaven, while remaining in the air, he will snatch his Bride, the Church, out from among this sinful world. Christ then takes the Church to heaven for the 7 year wedding feast. The earthly reason for the removal of the Church is to make way for the rise of Antichrist and to fulfill Daniel’s final 70th week.
(Matthew 25:13
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." class="glossaryLink " target="_blank" title="Mat 25:13" style="box-sizing: border-box; background: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(1, 36, 91); text-decoration: none !important; overflow-wrap: break-word; outline: 0px; font-weight: bold; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out 0s; border-bottom: 1px dotted; font-family: "Open Sans", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.6px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">Mat 25:13), (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these Words (1 Corinthians 15:51-54
Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

Replacementism
Replacement theology is the view that Israel, having failed God, has been replaced by the Church around 70 AD. The Church is now seen as spiritual Israel and spiritual Jerusalem. This teaching claims that all the promises and blessings, in fact Israel’s entire inheritance, now belongs to the Church. However, all is not lost for Israel; it gets to keep all the curses.

Isn’t it true that the word “rapture” is not found in the Bible?

I’ve always been totally amazed at how some folks write me and try use the fact that the word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible as an argument against its validity. The issue should be whether or not the concept of the rapture appears in the Bible.

With 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 giving us such a clear description of the rapture, you would have to conclude some people are just playing games with the Word of God. I could change the name of my site to “Catching-Up Ready” to satisfy these folks, but I hardly think that would improve things.

Their logic runs very thin because a huge number of words don’t appear in the Bible, including the word “Bible.” Because God’s Word was originally written in Hebrew and Greek, one could truthfully say that no English words are found in the Bible. Let’s take a look at 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 in the original Greek:I don’t see the dead in Christ rising, Jesus descending from Heaven, or us meeting Him in the air. They’re right; the word “rapture” is nowhere to be found. All I see is gobbledygook.

For the record, the word “rapture” comes from the Latin word rapturo, which is a translation of the Greek verb “caught up” that’s found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. You can call it the “pre-trib rapture,” the “pre-trib rapturo,” or the “pre-trib caught up” – it’s all the same thing.

I generally don’t bother with the rantings of post-tribbers. Their mindset seems to be equal to the logic presented by the Flat Earth Society. Nothing will change their view of the end times.

The fact that these people are eagerly seeking the approval of pre-tribbers doesn’t speak well for their own interpretation of Bible prophecy. Another discredit to their view is how easily they become insulted by those who contradict them.

The day will come that will shock them back to reality. My job is to reach out to those people who are open to the good news of Jesus Christ’s soon return.

Is the Pre-Millennial and Pre-Tribulation doctrine found in the Bible?

Yes. The key to Pre-Millennial and Pre-Tribulation eschatology is found in the chapter 61 of the book of Isaiah:

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the favorable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.” (Isaiah 61:1-2)

Isaiah 61 teaches three periods of time; a long one like a year (Christian dispensation), followed by a short period of time like a day (Tribulation) and then the Millennial Kingdom. This prophecy shows the Messiah will usher in three different periods of time:

A long time likened to a year.A short period of time likened to a day.A time of comfort to all that mourn in Zion.

These three periods of time are:

The Christian dispensation.The seven-year Tribulation.The Millennial Kingdom.

Jesus began his ministry by bringing in the first period of time: the Christian dispensation (Luke 4:18-19). After He raptures the church, He will usher in the second period: the Tribulation. Then at the end of the Tribulation with His glorious appearing, He will bring in the third period of time: the Millennial Kingdom.

The length of the Tribulation in relation to the Christian dispensation is like one day is to a year. The Tribulation will be seven years in length, so the Christian dispensation will be about 360 times as long, or approximately 2520 years. This it is not an exact relationship, but an approximate one.

It has been a tradition for more than 2000 years for Jews in every congregation to read the same passage on the Sabbath. On the Sabbath Jesus went to the synagogue and read the passage in Isaiah 61, that same passage was read in every synagogue in the world. Jesus stopped reading after the phrase, “to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor.”

He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and then said, “Today hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears” (Luke 4:21). He did not read on and say, “and the day of vengeance of our God [the Tribulation] and to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion” (Millennial Kingdom), because those prophecies would not be fulfilled for nearly 2000 years. This is the foundational passage for the doctrine of Pre-Millennialism, which teaches that the Second Coming of Jesus will take place before the Millennial Kingdom.

The Olivet Discourse follows the same pattern. The First Coming of Christ and the Church Age are described in Matthew 24.4-8, and the Tribulation and Second Coming are covered in verses 9-31. The beginning of the Millennial Kingdom is then described in Matthew 25:31-34.

Chapters 1-3 of Revelation describe the First Coming of Christ and the church dispensation. Chapters 4-5 give the scene in heaven after the Rapture (“Come up hither” 4:1), and chapters 6-19 describe the Tribulation and the Second Coming. Chapters 20-22 describe the Millennial and Eternal Kingdoms.
