Jeremiah chapter 2

Verse 1

How do we know the bible is the word of God? It says so.

Verse 2 and 3

God is getting ready to ask a question. As long as the children of Jacob were led by an anointed man of God, they did God’s will.You can’t lead anyone to Christ unless you have followed Him.

Verse 4

This is the question.

Verse 5 - 8

Did Israel stop following God because of something He did? The leaders in Israel led Israel astray. We should follow God and not man. Things got worse and no one asked why.

Verse 9 and 10

Israel did something unlike any other nation.

Verse 11 and 12

No other nation will stop following their god, and they are not even real. We elected a president who said America was not a Christian nation. America started off doing the will of God.

Verse 13

The logic taught in church holds no water. They teach that grace frees from the law, so we can steal, murder, and commit adultery. However, grace doesn’t free us from paying tithes. What is ironic is tithing is not in the law.

Verse 14 - 19

Before Israel received the ten commandments, they went back to idolatry. Noph and Tahapanes were cities in Egypt.We should learn from bad situations.

Verse 20 - 23

Israel would promise to follow God, and worship idols. Is America into idolatry? A couple of years ago, American Idol was number one in it;s time slot every time it was on the air. All the soap in the world won’t wash your character.

Verse 24 - 29

Israel would worship idols, then pray to God when they needed help.God wants an explanation about the idols.If you would rather wash your car than go to church. If you are diagnosed with a fatal disease, wash your car and see if you are healed

Verse 30 - 34

The blood of 70 million children is on all our hands. We cannot kill children , and say we care about anything.

Verse 35 - 37

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.
