I keep getting notices of new messages. I am not intentionally ignoring them. I am just computer illiterate and cannot access them. I tried to follow the instructions on screen and ended up with the most garbled mess you can imagine. Had to reset my computer to an earlier date.

So forgive me. I guess I'm just intellectually challenged (sounds better than stupid doesn't it).

Could you please answer a question for me:
explain what "single payer" means that obama seems to want for his insurance plan?

Medicare is a single payer plan. You sign up for Medicare and your doctor bills Medicare. The coverage is uniform throughout the system.

You sign up for ACA and you have to choose which insurance company pays your bill. Not all insurance companies under ACA offer the same benefits. There is a minimum they have to cover.

Good one, Grace but the single payer Obama wants is like Canada's Socialist Insurance where the government is the only payer.

Yes, but if you're too old you may be 'cut out' as well. A friend has relatives in Sweden - government insurance. Their relative was only 59 and needed some additional surgery for a problem from younger years - they told him, "You are no longer productive, therefore, you don't qualify for that surgery." If you think the VA wait lists are bad - just wait for the general public wait lists.

For a new message, just hit the "http" the way you would to go to OPP, it should come up.

OPP showed up on my email one day. I have no idea where it came from. Every day my email shows a new listing for that day.

I don't know where it came from either. I h**e to be so suspicious, but I wonder about NSA - if they started this site to psychic out folks that show a distrain for the way the government is going. No need to try that with me, I will tell them right out I H**E WHAT I SEE. I try to be considerate of others, I'm a woman, and don't like being unkind. BUT, along that same vein of suspicion do they deliberately put moles on here to see where you are coming from!

If they are looking for moles, they would not have selected me. I agree with you that I h**e what I see. I'm far more liberal than conservative. But when it comes to money, I'm as conservative as it gets. When it comes to social programs, I'm pretty liberal. This puts me at odds with both parties.

I suspect a "friend" did this. If I find out who, I will thank her. I have learned a lot here. Not all of it has been good.

Thanks for trying to help.

I can't say I'm real liberal, but I am practical. When it comes to immigration, look at it from a practical point and a humane point. No way is the government going to deport 13 million, and many kids have been born here - don't take the fathers away. They are hard working - then what put them on welfare!!

I also try to be reasonable and see another's point of view - may not agree, but I won't start name calling. To each his own. Confound it! we need each other. Before it's all over, I feel many will begin to realize the importance of that oddball who knows how to do something none of the rest of the group knows. It's being practical and accepting differences.

That's foresure. I feel sorry for Gerad. It took guts to escape from Cuba, I wish some of them would give him a little slack. He may not understand the language as well either.

Oh well, we can pray for him. When I can't turn any other way, I turn to Him.

Done that a lot in my lifetime.
