I just watched this video that went inside the individual experience of those at 9/11/01, both survivors and the dead. When the second building collapsed, a fire Department captain said it was time to evacuate immediately. Haste was vital, he thought; as quickly as possible. Twenty floors down from their original position, they found a women struggling down the stairwell. The captain was sure of the imminent danger; delay would probably kill his men. But he decided to help her (even though no one would ever know if they left her).
The building collapsed around them. A floor above was death and the floor below was death. Like Earth, they were in a Goldilocks position, just right. All survived. I am fascinated by such stories.
Our thinking is not God's thinking.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.
- Isaiah 55:8

But how many Christians think that their thoughts and ways are? It seems this quote is saying that we cannot know God, at least not with any surety. If our thinking and ways cannot comprehend God, what is there to place our faith in the word? It appears outside of our understanding by the words of God.
