Democrats can impeach anytime, but if they do so it will be just before the 2020 e******n so Trump has no time to respond and the Senate has no time to acquit.

They will undoubtably start another fantasy where the Goebbels media "NY TIMES" will just say oops. Then look for something else to use to obstruct and bring false claims against him again. You miss the whole point of why the democrats a not rushing to impeach Trump.
Trump is the rights problem.
I for one can only see the strength & influence of the republicans fading each addition day of Trumps presidency.
My only fear is like your fear. The republican party will cease having any real power & influence.
The bright spot in that is that to hang around the republican party will be come more liberal.
Then it will come down to my & your greatest fear. The left will adapt right wing tactics to gain back the power they lost.

More and more information will be made public going into the e******n, and people will make up their minds about accountability, both with senators and the president.
Trump and the GOP will start crying about the investigations destroying the e******ns months before the e******n, the wheels of justice will keep on turning, court trials and hearings will go on.
In terms of obstruction, what would you who claims to be about defending the constitution and rule of law say about the white house telling people scheduled to appear before the house not to? How about refusing to release documents that go with the Mueller report and provide the support to the report? This is obstruction, if there is nothing there there is no reason to hide it. And all the material can't be involved in grand jury hearings. None of it has executive privilege because it is about the crime of obstruction by the white house and president. Ever hear about the part of law that says there is no executive privilege in cases of crimes? Investigating obstruction is investigating crimes
