Why don't they give them more gym time or maybe restrict the use of cell phones or something of that nature. No now their down to persecuting the children.

We had chocolate milk in school. Kids then weren't fat.

This is just more "do somethingism" to give the appearance of addressing a problem.

Require the School Board, School Administration and PTA to eat those same meals, with the students,

every school day. School lunches will shape up right quick.

Chocolate doesn't make you fat. It is actually very healthy. The sugar might contribute to obesity. There is a solution. Exercise

I grew up in Minnesota on a small farm, where my dad was a country veterinarian and took care of the animals that the owners couldn't handle by themselves. Our day started early and went on until around 8PM after which time we still had to do our homework. The only phone we had was for vet business, period. But it was a GREAT life, something todays kids would h**e but for us it was heaven on earth. Many of the boys we have worked with over the years had never seen horses, cows or goats, lived in buildings full of rats, and ate what ever they could steal. Their mothers (no fathers to be found) were prostitutes and the men around were often drug dealers. Some of the boys actually lived in middle class house holds, but abuse was still the normal way to live. When they went into new safe homes, with good people (some of whom had been through the same hell hole existance) they had to totally rethink the world. Unfortunately they arejust the tip of the iceberg, but a reminder of how much we need to love and care for these children of Gods and stop worrying about the petty annoyance of our lives, So pour a glass of chocolate milk for the child by your side and tell him, or her, how much he is loved and keep him safe from the monsters out there.
