I was dreaming a building was collapsing and my granddaughter was under it.
I was trying to rescue her.
Woke up and when I turned on the TV, that awful day was unfolding.

9/11, with proper leadership and a deep concern of our nation, it should have united us instead of dividing us. God bless the family and friends of those lost and our First Responders for rushing in with great courage and care, only to be rewarded later with major health problems.

Bullnadler.
The lefties cheered and the Americans stiffened their resolve to fight Islamic terrorism.
Throughout this whole ordeal the left has been doing what it can to help their muslims in their cause to conquer western civilization and topple the United States.

9/11 was neither a beginning nor an ending. As David Horowitz has explained, this war with Islam, which we now find ourselves in, has gone on for over a thousand years. It might go on for another thousand making a mockery of the appeasers who lecture about “endless war.”

Wars go on for as long as one side is willing to fight them. And the harsh reality is that the other side is willing to fight forever. After all, the Muslim jihadists are promised 72 virgins if they die k*****g infidels in the service of Allah. That is a t***h too troubling for most sensible people to come to terms with.

But until we understand that, we will have learned absolutely nothing from September 11, 2001.

This is not WW2. It’s not the Cold War. It's not a war for territory. It's a war to convert residents of one civilization to another foreign civilization. It’s a clash of civilizations. Technology, jet planes and the internet, have allowed our civilizations to overlap each other. War is the inevitable result.

Immigration, not bullets and bombs, is the main weapon of this clash, not between armies, but between civilizations.

As Pennylynn's very appropriate picture shows many of America's sworn enemies are already living in our midst. (Burka wearing women in Michigan all showing the words, "Death to America" written on their palms.) Hoards of America-hating Middle-easterners were imported deep into our heartland by America-hating Obama. Those American-hating jihadists have already gotten a toehold in Dearborn, Mich and Minnesota where they've elect other America-hating representatives to represent them. Predictable. And predictably, the Democrats and the left embrace them. Nothing is not too i***tic or radical for them, all because of their blind hatred for Trump.

16 years later, we have only begun, not to fight, but to defend ourselves in this clash of civilizations.
Thank God Trump recognizes the challenge and has done everything he can to date, and continues to do all he can to limit immigration.

I remember very well, it's a 9-hour drive from Ohio to NY. So visiting my mom was over after the weekend then came visiting my brother at work which happened to be at J&R Computers at Park Plaza about a half-block from ground zero. It felt like an earthquake, then I heard people screaming and made out 'TradeCenter.' So I ran there to see if I could help. The people walked like zombies and I/we first responders were getting as many living ones out as we could. Then came just lifting rocks and hoping there was no hand or foot under them. After that I've read all I could on it. Most say it was an inside job, oh the towel heads played their part. Bush ignored the CIA's warning about it. A few at the NSA can tell you more, I think it's still classified.

I was working. Got stopped by the sheriff deputies at an intersection near where I lived. Got questioned for about 30 minutes. Then told to go straight home. Going to the airport is a joke.

Very Good topic. Nice honor for the victims of 9/11. America seemed to go from a nation of ease and comfort, maybe almost a little complacent in our prosperity, to one of fear and h**e, and rigid about our safety. From then on the fierceness of the division just grew stronger and stronger.

I got into my favorite vehicle I ever owned, my old and invulnerable Ford Ranger; had over 300,000 miles, good gas mileage, and never a hiccup of trouble. I go into those details for a reason. I thought at the time my country is no longer a dependable vehicle. The damage seemed overwhelming, totaled. But before I knew the full nature of the attack, I turned on the radio first thing and got a simple report a plane had hit TWC, possibly a small passenger plane. I remembered immediately about a plane hitting the Empire State Building. It was serious, people had died, but not dire. Then something told me to turn off the truck and go back to the house to watch the news. This was in Tucson, where I did a lot of gambling. And I turned back from the Casino.

Maybe I should also mention I am a native New Yorker and lived there for 37 years. There was a time when I took a train to NJ under the building and my younger brother worked at Windows on the World, I think that was the name.

I'm a bit late to the party, hit a detour on my way to the forum.

A dozen or so people who worked in the WTC towers or knew someone who did tell their stories about the day before. This includes some people who interacted with Mohammed Atta in Portland, ME.
