I remember vividly where I was, and actually the whole day.
I believe our lives changed a lot, but certainly not for the better. Civil freedoms were lost in the name of "safety" post 9/11, but because of the left subsequently shrieking profiling and Islamophobia, only American citizens are now affected by restrictions. Oh, yeah, and BO imported a whole bunch of those same people who howl "death to America", and Americans are forced to change our culture to accommodate them. Oh, yeah, and use our Social Security benefits to support them. AWESOME.

All of our lives have changed since 9/11, the country has changed since 9/11, and a moments pause for all involved in that tragic day is very appropriate.

I was watching the money channel as usual and reading the Wall Street Journal before heading off to work at 10AM. Almost casually, the anchor said that a small aircraft had run into the Twin Towers. Then continued on with the market reports.
Then the cameras switched to New York to show the smoking tower and all the speculation as to what happened and how many people were hurt and how they would put out the fire.
Then, in seemingly slow motion, another plane hit the other tower. Explosion, fire, smoke, silence from the anchors of a business channel.
By the time it was known, and the other planes and the Towers collapsed, I was as devastated as any American.
It changed my life. I became politically aware, and an even more staunch Republican.
The 9/11 attack was as severe as Pearl Harbor, and the e******n of Obama.
All devastating events.
I won't forget.

My life changed....I still have nightmares, PTSD they say. I remember everything...smells mostly. When we saw the plane we went immediately toward the Pentagon, we knew that plane was going to auger in, and having seen the Towers we suspected the airport or the Pentagon, got there right after the plane went in. The sound was deafening, the smell and the heat, before we could get to the building. We pulled people out, both dead and alive. I lost friends and coworkers. And now, some people accuse the Jew for what happened.

I have real problems flying and with crowds, aware always where the nearest exit in a building or where my truck or car can escape on the freeway, how many people are near me and what they are wearing and what they look like....and the sound of a plane overhead.....a moment of fear, then a quick prayer for the souls aboard. I lost my sense of security and faith that we will ever feel totally safe again.

We as a nation lost many of our freedoms, from travel to privacy....obama did not even allow us to heal before he started importing muslims….and at this point I could go on about how he harmed our nation, but this is not the thread for that.

9/11, with proper leadership and a deep concern of our nation, it should have united us instead of dividing us. God bless the family and friends of those lost and our First Responders for rushing in with great courage and care, only to be rewarded later with major health problems.

First it divided Islam and Christianity, and Western civilization and Middle East culture. Then, the kommiecrats sided with Islam, and now America is politically divided even more.

DH and I were in New Mexico and just stared our day (6:30) in our truck pulling our 5th wheel to continue to CA (we were fulltime RVers). We heard the news on the radio but it was SOOOO confusing we immediately pulled into a Flying J to see it on TV.
