Sound, or the lack of sound

As with so many videos posted here, with my sound to the max, I still can't hear them speaking. I love the written words though. But back to sound. When making these videos, sound should be set so that the average person can hear the words quite well when their volume is set near mid range. Those with exceptional hearing might then turn it down a little and those with poor hearing can crank it up. As it is, those with poor hearing miss a lot and their message isn't hitting all of the audience they hope for.

I lost my hearing, below 50 to 60 decibels, in the military. Yes, I have hearing aids that help somewhat. Still miss a lot of personal conversation, especially soft spoken people. But for my computer I have to use ear buds. That means taking out the hearing aids. I miss a lot of potentially good videos.

I can identify with that. Too much time in the engine rooms. I don't even try vids for that reason.

too bad there`s no one standard for a video player. multiple video players make it harder especially when you consider sound
