Sometimes your early warnings of something comes from sources you may not like, but then a few weeks or months later the thing being covered early gets a more widespread media coverage.

My wife has a small business...two veterinary clinics, one in Sacramento, one here in Diamond Springs, the elimination of write offs that are actual business expenses increased her tax hit between taxes owed and increased healthcare by $12,000. Fortunately she keeps a cash reserve of about $8000 so she was able to cover it. Most families are in deep trouble if they get hit with unforseen expenses like that of a few thousand dollars.
As this article is pointing out, truckers lost per diem and other write offs that hit them with unexpected taxes. Tax cuts hurt many, helps many with miniscule differences, and gave the wealthy an uneeded bonus that did nothing for the economy except a brief stock market boost.

News is where you find it, and of course you have to sort through whether there is a spin or it covers facts.
Look up the facts they are reporting in terms of trucking statistics...I have two friends that were independent truckers, they gave their trucks back to the bank and got a job with a bigger company. They had been barely making it and the changed tax filing rules capped them. They were losing money owning their own trucks anyway, but they were attached to the "independence" they felt. Now they are actually bringing home a paycheck.

I read all types of information including FOX, it allows me to sort out articles with spin and those sticking to facts. Often the form of spin seen is simply not including coverage of unfortunate facts.

If you already know the facts, why do you need to sort anything out?

You only believe and post leftwing spin posing as "facts".

Same thing here.
Driver did ok, but I had a stack of truck checks for 50 cents.
Weren't worth cashing.
Thank God we had cash to keep us going and I finally told my husband, we're selling this thing.
