He takes a situation where a prime minister responds in a way that is both understandable and easy enough to blow off. Trump is all butt hurt over being disrespected, which he wants to make about a disrespect for our country when it was a disrespect for what could easily be seen as an i***tic idea to someone who considered the idea of Greenland being sold as absurd. Trump could easily have shrugged his shoulders and said I guess that's a no.

The bottom line is that it could easily be considered an i***tic idea, and as an american I feel no sense of being disrespected because the Danish prime minister called an i***tic idea an i***tic idea.

Now if Trump wants to conduct a legitimate idea and concept such as being allowed to have US missile defenses on Greenland as a strategic position, let him conduct the normal appropriate state diplomatic negotiation rather than the "Trump the dealmaker" BS that infers a personal interest.

Trump disrespected our country by acting like a total fool about an idea that makes him a fool

Thin skin, he can't stand someone referring to an idea of his as abzurd. He has it entirely wrong when he says a statement about his abzurd idea is insulting the united states.

So now he is going on the attack on wh**ever he can think of, like they aren't paying enough for US defense.

Read his comments in the article I Posted. he doesn't sound butt hurt at all. And, he isn't the first president to propose buying Greenland, just so you know.

He's not driven by anything. He is an admitted troll. Can't take anything he says as the t***h. Best to ignore.

The Danish PM called Trump's offer to buy Greenland "absurd" which it certainly was. So Trump called the PM "nasty", which is what Trump usually calls women who cross him.

70 years ago. This is an entirely different world, but Trump doesn’t read the memos—or anything else, for that matter.

You apparently didn't listen to his press thingy... he took it far too seriously that the response was to say it was abzurd, it's a word, and a valid one at that, it was a way of saying not interested with finality. And Trump says things in far more blunt and inconsiderate ways.

Trump should have shr****d his shoulders and said fine...wh**ever

...and it shouldn't have changed plans to meet and have a dinner engagement at all, there are other issues besides Trump buying Greenland, which by the way was actually an absurd idea, which should have been floated in diplomatic channels where it could have been made clear that there was no interest without hurting Trump's little feelings over his big idea deal being rejected and called absurd. In Trump's mind, and only in his mind this was a legitimate idea, and he doesn't like having his ideas ridiculed.
