The solution is simple, tax capital leaving the United States. The reason the 3% pay more than the rest is that their wealth and income combined are far greater than the rest combined.

Yeah, that sums up a "liberal."

Trickle-down has never worked,it brings us into recessions every time and what a superior ideology for them to hold dear and cling to, a perfect system... for them, they create this great imbalance and feel very justified in it.

I have a great idea -- how about next time the Democrats have the White House and Congressional majorities and institute heavy, intrusive regulation and stifling corporate taxation, driving jobs once again offshore, every person who v**ed Democrat kicks in 1/3 of his or her gross income to a fund that will support the newly unemployed reasonably well until they have jobs?

No?

Then stop pushing selfish, dumbass policies that put millions of people you don't even know out of work.

That is exactly why we are in the fix we're in. This is also why the 1% holds 90% of the wealth, and that seems balanced to you, tell me how do you think that has happened if they were paying in their fair share. Amazon 0
Profits for online retail behemoth Amazon soared in 2018, but it paid no federal income tax for the second consecutive year, according to a report published Wednesday.

The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy says the company is subject to a 21 percent tax rate on its U.S. income. However, through various tax breaks and credits, the company will receive a tax rebate of $129 million.

That's despite the company nearly doubling its profits to $11.2 billion in 2018, up from $5.6 billion the previous year, ITEP reported.

These useful fools evidently aren't capable of thinking past the next five minutes, let alone a year down the road.

Remember when AOC was asked how we would pay the $92 trillion price tag for the Dumb New Idea over ten years, and all she could come up with was "we'll pay for it?"

That's the sum total of a "liberal's" fiscal comprehension, and then they wonder why we have such a huge deficit -- Obama's "stimulus" (complete with thousands of non-existent "shovel ready" jobs) anyone?

Of course, they never own up to anything, they always blame it on the nearest Republican president; somehow Obama's added trillions are overlooked, and the final deficit amount is Bush's Fault® for going into Iraq, or for taking the first steps of ill advised "stimulus" activity. Obama's addition just sort of appeared there.

But... G-d help President Trump should he want to spend a mere $5 billion to secure our southern border.

As far as running off the rich with stifling taxes, I honestly don't think that these dumbjohns have a clue as to why anyone would want to leave their Utopian states just because they're tired of being stripped to the bone by the taxman.

After all, they are The Rich©, and The Rich© must pay Their Fair Share®

Today's Democrats are no different than a lot of small children, except that Trump's e******n "fundamentally t***sformed" them into 24/7/365 crybabies.

Seeing the agendas they support become reality would really give the little turds something to cry about.

Makes me think of a line from Ten Years After's I'd Love to Change The World:

"Tax the rich, feed the poor
til there are no
rich no more."

Too bad you don't see corporate running this country and who supports them in doing it, it's called the GOP.
When they get what"They" want they'll release their Kracken. The people who control over 85 % of the wealth will open the spout and allow things to flow and have their pawn appear as the hero of the economy.Bush and Trump and when things go south as it usually does, they create an international event,(war) I'm predicting one soon. Presently we're in an international trade war, tell me hows that working out for us so far?

It's still on, and China's losing it.

Their economy is in "da turlet," and they need us more than we need them. Xi has instituted a plethora of band-aid measures as his government struggles to produce the means to prop up a number of their industries. Their deficit is also significantly higher than ours.

Having no recourse, China will soon return to the bargaining table and Trump will get us an equable trade deal.

If you'd stop obtaining all your "news and information" from anti-Trump left wing media and do some of your own independent research, you might manage to post something that doesn't make you "sound" like you just arrived on the banana truck.

Exactly what dumbass policies are you referring to, maybe the Clean Power Plan (CPP) which was finalized on October 23, 2015. The goal of the CPP was to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the electricity sector, which is responsible for approximately 30 percent of America's overall greenhouse gas emissions. Which is a large amount. Yep moving backwards again.

More unproven science promoted by g*******ts to weaken western economies while distributing their citizens' jobs to "developing nations."

I truly love it when Trumpers tell others to stop and research and not listen to propaganda, that's beautiful really. To Trumpers going to governmental research is now considered bias, going to research studies is now bias, the only people you listen to are the ones created by the Koch's and Murdocks, and the right's organizations, FOX.

China is already going to other countries, wake up! We're now paying millions out for farm subsidies. Our farmers will go out of business and be bought by CHINA!

Do your homework and then post. You are spewing, as usual, with the dubious benefit of your usual cluelessness.

You have the economic and global awareness of a barnacle.

Yes, unproven science, I'm afraid. Another factless "liberal" -- pull your head out of the sand, for a change. 😁

You know nothing about economics except what you read from some leftwing rag. Where was I hysterical at all? Even handed, Interesting concept. If you were truly even handed the most tax breaks would go to the top 10% since they pay the greatest share of Federal tax. Federal tases are by far the most progressive tax's. If you want to b***h about the middle and lower income people not getting as big a break it's because of State and local tax's. These are the least progressive and hit all workers. Right? The tax cut package doubled the personal exemption. That's a big deal. Quick example (from my seminars): Frank and Mary have $30,000 coming in from Social Security, Frank draws $12,000 off his IRA, and Betty collects $5,000 a year from a small pension. That's a total of $47,000.00 in income. How much would they pay in Federal Tax's. The answer is actually $0.00. None of their Social Security is taxed due to the Provincial Income formula that determines the percentage of your social security included as income for Federal tax purposes. That leaves seventeen thousand. Right? Because of the new personal exemption being doubled, Frank and Mary receive a combined deduction of $24,000.00. Therefore; there is no Federal taxable event. My point being, if you have a problem with the tax break you are looking at the wrong entity. Start b***hing at state and local
politicians. The much less progressive tax rates locally affect the average worker much more. I like all tax breaks. I think Americans can spend their own money more efficiently than the government. My problem with Federal tax breaks is they should come with reduced government spending. Just my take.
