What I think is that I would like to see the original story and judge it for myself. Not that I distrust your judgement or anything.

I do not get why you are surprised by my response to you. You posted a title for your topic " Transgender student kicked out of Baptist college after surgery. "

Generally if someone posts a topic such as this, they give their readers the basic courtesy to show a link to the original story. But, that is just me. Obviously not everyone on OPP respects their readers.

You're right in this instance, my bad. But I felt there was no need for a site because what the college did was the simple duty to keep the Law of God. The matter was settled, to me, in the title. All that was necessary to comment on was already there in the title.

And the fact that all you Right wing Christians can only think to focus on me and not the topic, and insult me failing to see that I am in complete agreement, is very disheartening.

The site was given earlier but I will go fetch for you. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7342099/Trans-student-kicked-Free-Baptist-school-having-gender-reassignment-surgery.html

Maybe many of us couldn’t believe that for once they agreed with you. You are absolutely right. The question is why would a transgender want to attend a Baptist University. Why not go to Homo University? There are lots of those.

It's not "for once they agreed with" me, but you are right. I thought my extremely simple response was more than adequate to express both my opinion and the problem...if a slight effort was made. Obviously I was wrong. They didn't trust me. I would love to say I can't say I blame them, yet they often misinterpret what I say or just exert their First Amendment Right to ad hominem. God bless their hearts.

Your response to their sin is murder? Curious.

Not seriously. But the people who promote and enable this abomination that goes directly against the ceation of male and female, should be in prison work camps...out working the fields with immigrants.

I'm serious about that idea.

Thank you for providing a link to the story. Now I am ready to run my big mouth. I look at it this way. This student had to know what would happen after taking this step. The student was raised in a traditional way and knew the beliefs of the college. Also the student is 21. Old enough to be out on "his " own.

I don't know why you made a big deal of this. " He " made the decision and is old enough to go to work or find another college. In today's America 99.9999 % of colleges would be more than happy to celebrate " his " life choices.

You see what I did. I did not duck the question. I did not insult you. I gave you my bestest answer. You were fair to me. Many of the leftists are not. They insult me, they refuse to give me an honest answer, or they run away.

Well don't get too happy. I am sure a topic will shortly come up where we will have a hard time being so polite to one another. I respect your right to argue for your viewpoints as passionately as I argue mine. I try to play by the rules of conversation. Sometimes in the heat of battle I forget myself.

In the meantime, Au Revoir.

You made several good points about our discourse that are good reminders and perhaps should be rules of understanding such as: "in the heat of battle I forget myself." A little latitude is needed and not quickly attacked. Trust it is not a personal insult. We all do at times. But being somewhat defensive on this comment about being polite to each others, I feel quite certain you will be hard pressed to find me impolite or insulting at anytime.

I enjoy the battles. I really do. I prefer speaking to those who totally disagree with me. It forces me to think. If I cannot defend my positions then what good am I ?
