I was privileged to have AuntiE ask me to do today's devotional.

I've been through some rough waters in my lifetime, as I'm sure many of you have been also, but always had a Rock of refuge to cling to, and I think this verse says it all:

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

May you have a blessed day.

Thank you for this verse Beark. A dear lady in our study group had been struggling recently and had decided to leave her job due to politics at work and bad language. A friend of hers shared this verse with her and she shared it with the rest of us. It helped her tremendously. I love this verse and want to commit it to memory. Seeing it this morning reinforced this. It's kind of funny as Christians we have to be reminded all the time we are His children and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Hey, I need to be reminded all the time. Thank you

Often, when I share the Word, I will get 'goose bumps' and your post gave them to me. I took it as a sign, I did His will in using that one.

You may want to share this with the lady you refer to: Job 22:28 "What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways." This is from the New International Version

Thank you again. I will. I'm going to a ceremony for my little girl at school but will return later. Sometimes I will read scripture in my quiet time. Then It may come up during study class at church. Then the pastor may be preaching the very same scripture. I also took your verse as God speaking to us and encouraging us. He is always here with us. It is really neat when we have our eyes and ears open to realize He is showing us something.

One of my absolute favorite verses, as well as one of the most important messages for us to keep in the forefront of our minds.

Thank you, appreciate your compliment.

In times like now, it's more important than ever to remember He is with us WHEREVER WE GO. AND boy, do we need Him.

Loved your verse in Joshua. Great choice for your first time out. God's wonderful word is like His precious blood, will never lose it's power May God bless you as much as He has me through your sharing of His word.

Thank you, the pleasure was all mine.

Psalm 121:8 says "the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

All He asks, is that we believe - Oh Yes, and treat others as we would want them to treat us. That may not always be easy, but it does benefit you, one way or another.

God chose us before the foundation of the world. Rev 17 verse 8. We go through trials and tribulations in this life to see both sides of good and evil. Be not dismayed, God has a firm hold on everybody He will save. In psalm 139 David said to God, You saw me in my mothers womb. My days of life were written in your book before I ever lived one day. Everybody will not go to Heaven. I read the end of the book. Everybody not written in the Lambs book of life will end up in the lake of fire. Not my words but Gods. Look it up.

Gods word is the only balm that soothes the soul. It is a spiritual t***h that no one can argue with. Satan will try to confuse and bewilder someone who has a half t***h. When the Holy Spirit teaches Gods word there is no half t***h. His Spirit witnesses to our Spirit the t***h of Gods word. That is how we know we are saved. If we do not know the t***h of Gods word, the mysteries of His hidden t***h, then we are none of His. The Holy Spirit comes to us when we read, His Spirit witnesses to our Spirit about the t***h of Gods word. What better Teacher can you have.
