Amos chapter 6

Verse 1 - 4

Whenever you see woe in the bible, it will be a bad future for whoever the woe applies to. But if it don’t apply, you can let it fly.This woe applies to Israel and Judah. In time both would be removed from the map.Israel would forget they were ever a nation under God. Calneh, Hamath, and Gath were nations that had existed at one time, but by the time of this writing, had ceased to exist, They learned the wrong lessons from their prosperity.

Verse 5 and 6

So did Israel. They had enjoyed luxurious lifestyles, but character and morality had gotten worse with each generation. They had forgotten that actions have consequences. They lost their vision.

Verse 7 and 8

When God gets angry at a nation, it destroys itself.

Verse 9 - 11

It is not a good idea to make God angry

Verse 12 - 14

You will not get good ends from evil means. Make sure the words you speak are sweet. You may have to eat them later.
