After all, she is a Harvard graduate.

Michelle Obama reminded attendees at a Naturalization Ceremony on Wednesday that the "Founding Fathers" were not born in America. The ceremony for 50 new US citizens was held at the National Archives in Washington, DC

She said during her speech, referring to the Declaration of Independence, "It's amazing that just a few feet from where I'm standing are the signatures of the 56 Founders who put their names on a Declaration that changed the course of history, and like the 50 of you, none of them were born American. They became American.

"Excuse me?" Did she actually mean that those who signed the Declaration of Independence and participated in the drafting of the Constitution were not born in America?

Benjamin Franklin was born in Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington & James Madison were all born in Virginia. John Adams was born in Massachusetts. Only eight of the 56 were not born in America.

Surely she knew this. But then again, maybe not. After all, she is a Harvard graduate. And by the way, in case she's not aware of it, THE CONSTITUTION WAS NOT SIGNED IN WASHINGTON D.C., it was signed in Philadelphia.

I guess it's true, you just can't fix STUPID.

And let's not forget that her husband thinks there are 57 states.

I have to point out something, she didn’t say they signed the doc in Washington she said the paper with their signatures was only a few feet away......... that of course was true.

The rest I agree with you on.

I believe she said that they were not born American...Which is true... As America was not a nation at the time of their birth... They became Americans (as opposed to colonists) after the declaration...

After the Constitution, bro. But that is picking nits. They were born in the land that became America, and from the day they were born, they were destined to be Americans.
