Summer Heat Wave? It's G****l W*****g... Or Is It?

With a heat wave currently turning half the country into a steam bath and the next round of Democratic Party p**********l debates coming up in just over a week, it's likely c*****e c****e (né g****l w*****g) will be at or near the top of the agenda.
For the Democrats, climate armageddon is right around the corner, the only question really open for debate being whether that corner is twelve years away or twenty. G****l w*****g is a religion to them and, as with so many religions, you obey its strictures or else. Just ask Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
That this isn't the most scientific approach to climate or anything else should go without saying. Unfortunately, it doesn't. Any discussion of the subject at the debate will undoubtedly consist of how much money we should throw at the problem and how soon. Biden will be measured and try not to throw out the baby with the proverbial bathwater, while Bernie and the ladies will attack him for being a climate weakling willing to incinerate humanity. Everyone else could well join in. Soon poor Joe will be nodding his head in agreement, begging AOC to forgive him and pledging to retrofit every picture window and storm door from San Diego to Sandusky himself. (Hey, he says he can beat Trump in push-ups.)
Meanwhile, none of the CNN stalwarts conducting the debate will dare ask this simple question because it blows a hole in their narrative worse than any the Iranians will ever put on a tanker. "Has the duration and extent of heat waves gone up or down in the last century?"
Answer: Not just down but way down. According to Chris Martz of Weather Facts (and, yes, he has them, replete with graphs; check it out), the average duration of heat waves is 41 percent shorter than it was in the 1930s. They lasted nine days then to six and a half now. Not only that, average high temperatures in the 1930s, when industrialization was minuscule compared to today, were considerably above (roughly two degrees) what they are now. The thirties were a depressed time — and a hot one on top of that.
Another question neither Andersen Cooper nor Jake Tapper will be posing is: "When was Antarctica warmer — now or a thousand years ago?" Answer: a thousand years ago. Obviously, you realize where I'm going here.
Everyone knows that politicians are basically liars or envelope-pushers, but when it comes to science they are i***ts as well, at least the vast majority of them. That we have to listen to them opine about climate is like having our brains drilled.
This is not to say that any of this proves the t***h of g****l w*****g one way or another. I try to remain agnostic on the subject — keep an open mind — but the conformist drivel promulgated by the left tends to make me shut it. (The views of the Dane Bjorn Lomborg who does a good cost/benefit analysis of these things, are worth a look.)
But the generalized stupidity of the way the issue is treated points toward something possibly more disturbing — the debates themselves. Do they have any meaning other than the obvious entertainment value (for some)? Well, we learn that most of the Democrats are copycats and have pretty much the same (enforced) views on everything with only the slightest nuances. But didn't we already know that? It's all a game show, basically. Maybe Ryszard Legutko — the Polish author of The Demon in Democracy — is right. C*******m and liberal democracy have some eerie similarities.
As for heatwaves, this has always been my favorite way of getting through them.

We've had cooler years and warmer years. C*****e c****es, more with the sun and earth orbit and the oceans then anything man could possibly create.
Increased carbon in the atmosphere is so minuscule as impossible to create c*****e c****e. Actually, according to Antarctic ice core samples, carbon increases after a warming cycle and follows it. It doesn't lead a warming cycle.
We have been coming out of an ice age for several hundred years. That means we are in a warming cycle, created by nature. And cyclically, we're near its peak. Meaning we will soon enter a downward temperature cycle.

I have to say Bravo, to both you and Parky!.. I just posted something similar couple days back.. we all seem to be saying roughly the same, It's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that these c*****e c****es are cyclical..I Know it would be an effort in futility to get any of the dems to look at facts and NOT emotion.. they are holding American's hostage to this mentality.. Buy an electric car or don't drive.. don't fly.. etc..
Someone else in here mentioned the k*****g of cows because they fart... what about all the other animals we eat..should we execute them as well for Flatulence!...forcing all of us to eventually become vegitarians.. Pfft!!..
I say Eat Cow.. as a matter of fact.. I happen to have 3 beautiful NY strips in my freezer..throw them on the grill frozen.. sear all 6 sides top bottom and ends..all the Juice stays in the steak..vs thawing it and losing all the juice inside the bag..

I can attest it's very hot.. or at least it was when I was down there in June for a family reunion.. 100-110F It's also been rather warm up here in Northern Nevada also!!.. ugh!!.. Thank God not much humidity here...

As far as I can determine: "g****l w*****g" is the new buzz word for politicians in any country to attempt and, in some cases succeed, to frighten the v**ers into v****g for them. I think they should ask the PLANET, you know, good old earth, what it thinks. Humans are less than ants to the PLANET! which will be around for longer than any politician, don't you think?

Maybe there are some aspects involving our planets climate we haven't figured completely out yet … the last ice age ended 2.6 million years ago & we have had a massive increase in population in the relatively short time our climate has been human friendly... at this point a massive drought could k**l billions … mother nature has been good to us thus far for the most part but things do change … sometimes quickly... spending some time & money on this issue I think is prudent ...

I can not dispute this much, other than to say perhaps things don't happen that fast... IN theory, because I'm not sure...But from what I understand from a couple of branch christian religions, 1 day to God Is perhaps a Million to us...In God's Or the universe, if you will, it'll happen when it happens.. if that is what you mean than I agree!.. But I really do not think that it's imminent.
