Yes carazy crazies in Berkely are at it again. As long as the carbon emissions are not in California, the nitwits can tell themselves they are saving the planet. Electric power generated by f****l f**l in other states still put out CO2. California imports a lot of power. More than any other state. Their i***tic renewables policy means they must pay other states to accept their green power when the sun shines and then they pay through the nose when the sun isn't shining because that is when demand is highest.

All Liberals need to move to California at once. Live with your fellow morons. Declare your independence from normal Americans. All the rotten eggs should be in one basket where the rest of us can keep a close eye on yall.

OK.. Just my opinion..I think I may know why all the states that wanted to secede recently, don't try.. Because they know they will have to come up with their own currency... they will no longer be eligible for Federal funding, California especially, not too long ago wanted to split the state.. Not sure if they wanted north to south or east to west.. but There you can tell the conservatives from the dems... about 50 miles inland from the coast all the way from the mexican border to the oregon border.. it would seem most libs live in congested urban sprawl.. ugh!!..

I could Never live in a city again..I'd damage stupid people...I'm finding the older I get the less I'm tolerant of stupidity...and that includes my own...lol..Ain't no way in hell thanks!!..I consider Reno urban sprawl..lol..Reno proper itself isn't big...but it's congested..to me anyway...lol..you LIB.. Outta My Road...

If the surrounding states decided to stop selling electric power to the Most Green State in the Union, I wonder if those Solar Cells could make up the difference. I mean maybe they would like to reduce their carbon emissions like Mexifornia. Then again, if I was a stockholder of the power companies selling power to Stupifornia, I would be sending money to all of these environmentalist wacko groups. They have got to be making a fortune selling electricity to the knuckleheads.

Even residents of SF scratch their heads at crazy Berkeley decisions, just across the bay.
So please do not take Berkeley as indicative of all of California! It is a place unto itself, for sure.

In any case, California does import about 29% of our electrical power, but wherever it is coming from, our consumption of coal-generated power is less than 5%, and nearly a third of our consumption comes from renewable energy.

No state is perfect, and there are large parts of California that one could hardly call liberal. But I have made a great life here, and cannot imagine living anywhere else.

I actually loved where I lived in California..Northern.. last place I lived there was Foresthill.. Love and Miss my trees!..My family as well as my hubby's family Us included are staunch republicans!..Auburn, Grass Valley... pretty conservative up there as well... I've said this in a couple of posts but what is said about cali bein all liberal is a misnomer.. not a lot of city dwellers are consevative but I do know they are there.. but the Biggest concentration of conservative seemed to me to be more rural!.. Lots of farm land and agriculture, I remember L.A. when there were mostly orange groves.. hence Orange County...

A very good defense of your state. Much of the renewable energy is from hydroelectric. During California's infamous drought years that source literally dries up. I am guessing that hydro also accounts for a good percentage of out of state renewable energy. I used to be into Kayaking. The Kayaking community was not a big fan of hydro and it's taming of wild rivers.

Grass Valley is a really nice area. Highway 80 cuts straight through Auburn - used to pass through it all the time growing up to visit cousins in Carson City.

I remember LA and San Diego when there was miles of empty land between them. Now its solid development. The liberals are mostly in southern Cali, SF and Berkeley. Unfortunately those areas are the most densely populated.

My daughter and her husband lived in Redding for a number of years and that is beautiful country there as well the only problem with Redding is that is where my nineteen year old son was k**led by a hit and run driver who only got 180 days in the slammer after he was caught and tried.

Sounds to.me like the West coast towns, LA & San Fran in CA, as well as Portland and Seattle are having major homeless problems.

Paul, coal produced electricity in the United States has been cleaned up here that we have the best air quality in the world. Natural Gas does take less innovation to produce energy and we have an abundance of it but there is no reason to scrap coal plants in our Country. We could influence foreign Countries to adopt our coal scrubbing facilities to help the rest of the world, especially China, India, and the Soviet States to improve their standards. Mike
