A republican talks the talk.

This proves to me that not all republicans are without a thought..

Now, why am I, a brand new member of the Democratic party, thanking the man who made me leave the Republican party after 41 years? Because without the coming of trump, I might have remained blind to the fact that the Republican party I once belonged to no longer exists. It began disappearing when Reagan took office. For a brief time, I thought George the first might get it back on track. But, alas, his efforts were to no avail.

I love trump for opening my eyes to the horror that American politics has become. When a misogynistic reality TV star can come in and convince 60 some million v**ers that our country needed to go backwards in social and world policy to become great again, it helped me realize that we are all pretty much fucked. I can't believe how so many fucking people got conned into believing this fool for even a minute. His history was laid out for everyone to see and y'all still v**ed the fat bastard into office. Even while I was still a Republican, there was no fucking way that trump was going to get my v**e, and I am far from being the brightest bulb in the box.

That proved to me that the v****g populace of the United States must have attended the high school I did, North Salinas High School, Salinas, California, from 1974–78. Why do I say this? Because of the school policy when it came to two required classes to graduate. What were these classes? American History and US Government. Maybe your school called USGov by another name, possibly Civics. What was so wrong with the policy in these classes? Here we go…

On the very first day of class for both of these subjects, the instructor announced that if you came to class every day, had no unexcused absences, and stayed quiet so that students who wanted to actually learn about these subjects could do their work, you would receive no less than a 'C'. It didn't matter if every quiz, test, and homework assignment didn't even have a mark on the page. Just show up, stay quiet, and you get a passing grade.

After graduation I spoke to one of the teachers and asked why this policy was in effect. Basically it came down to the graduation rate. The school would receive more funding with higher graduation numbers. Plus, it was to push the kids who were not college bound out the door so they could get jobs where they never needed to know anything about history or how our government works. Therefore about 70% of the kids I went to high school with never learned a god damned thing about how America came to be nor how it is run.

I turned 18 at the end of the school year in 1978 and felt that the best choice I could make would be as a Republican. Even though Nixon tainted the party, it still had great past heroes like Lincoln and Eisenhower. Then Reagan got elected and fucked all of us workers with his trickle down bulls**t. When George the second got us into a useless war with Iraq, my allegiance really wavered even though I had not v**ed Republican since 1992. I thought possibly that John McCain could turn things around for the party, but I couldn't not v**e for Barack Obama.

Then came 2016. The Democrats had a candidate who was exceptionally qualified for the office of president. And just like every e******n since 1996, I punched the Democratic ticket and betrayed my fellow Republicans once again.

But Lo, and Behold! My fellow Americans seemed to have forgotten every single thing about trump and v**ed that jackass into office. I couldn't believe it. And I pretty much thought I knew how it would all play out.

I have been very surprised. It has been far worse than almost anything I had envisioned, except he hasn't started WWIII…yet.

So thank you, donald j. trump, for allowing my eyes to be opened and see the Republican party for what it really is; the party of Greed Over People. The party that refuses to work for the benefit of the American citizen. The party of h**e. The party of oppression.

And the party I no longer belong to.

This proves to me that not all republicans are wit... (show quote)

Another bogus story of someone who can no longer be a Republican. Do you know how many times this story has tried to be sold? I have read it multiple times on multiple sites. Get something original.
