The Lord was gracious enough to open a door for me to get to preach this morning. Your scripture verse came from the Book of Col. The same book the sermon was based on. Col. 1:15-23. With 2 Cor. 9:15 As an introduction. Thank you AuntiE

The very least they could have done was provide fresh to save your produce bill at the grocery. I am sure the "no snoring" was because nasal strips were provided.....by you. :-P :lol:

This maybe a great way to start Sunday, but the t***h is - it's a great way EVERY DAY. I get up around 4:30 (AM that is), make my coffee, go out on my back deck and talk to the Lord. We back up to a woods , no real close houses, and what a peaceful time. Wish all of you could share that peace with me. Have a blessed Monday.

Like you, we have a deck in back that is next to the woods. God's nature is beautiful in every aspect. God still speaks in a still, small voice when we take time to listen. God Bless.

Very good song choice. The last time that I sang that song my children were little life was great and we were worshiping in a little Southern Baptist Church near our home. Thanks AuntiE for the memories.

It seems that God got started answering our main prayer, that is we who never have rain, last night and just couldn't get stopped. We had about an inch and a half with high wind that blew down power poles for about 2 miles so we were left without power for over an hour. It appeared the storm was gone and then we got another .6 inches about midnight and another .7 shortly thereafter.

Our drought is not over but the over 2.5 inches we had last night is more than we have had in total for about a year. It is too late for bringing in many sheaves but won't it help dry land maize and corn?

Thanks oldroy I just had a little bit of real church there including a few tears. I haven't heard some of those songs for years now. Everything seems to be oriented to the younger generation these days. Most of these new songs have virtually no message to them and they are about as spiritual as singing Mickey Mouse Donald Duck in the Mickey Mouse song. When I was in Hawaii and went to church with my daughter and her husband I had to lean over and tell her that I had learned the words to that verse after about two times through and now at verse seven being the same was way to much. But that is what this new generation believes is spiritual oh well.
