They could have put a big dog turd on a pedestal, every one would have known who it honored, and also saved a lot of money.
As far as vandalism, I don't think anyone cares enough about the silly turd statue to bother trashing it.

I'm new here, but have been following the digest for quite some time. Normally when I see anything from woodguru I expect a very biased attack against President Trump. Surprise.
Rapid City South Dakota calls itself the city of presidents. As such, it has statues of all of the past presidents an various corners throughout the city. All tasteful and nicely done, honoring them without prejudice, probably. A tourist gimmick, most definitely.
Will woodguru be so quick to let us know about the President Trump statue? Probably not.
Chicago also had statues all over town as a tourist gimmick. Fiberglass decorated cows. Kind of makes you wonder which one is/was more bull****.
And woodguru, I'll bet the Trump statue will get vandalized a lot quicker then the obama statue. It is a matter of the class of their enemies.
But thanks for letting us know. Tourists, get your selfies next to your favorite presidents.
