We did REFTRA with the Navy at GITMO and Dan Diego, gave me a hell of a wake-up as to what it would be like for any enemy who was unfortunate enough to have the U.S. Navy coming at 'em.

I got to be at the end of the runway during what's called a generation exercise. A B-52 takes off followed by a KC-135. The noise, vibration, and imagining the bombs those aircraft could rain down on someone's head was probably the most thrilling air power display of my entire AF career. Much better than an airshow by far to me. It gave me mega MAGA goosebumps.
