The following is a letter I am sending to Nike regarding Colin Kaepernick. A telephone # to contact them is 800-344-6453.

If you agree, I request that everyone consider joining me and contact the company.

Nike World Head Quarters
One Bowerman Drive
Beaverton, Oregon 97005

To whom it may concern:
I recommend that your company immediately cease all association with Colin Kaepernick. I had to really stretch my tolerance to accept his kneeling protests but what he did with the Betsy Ross f**g insignia on your shoes was beyond anything acceptable. As pointed out by many, she was a true patriot and had no commitment to s***ery. Her f**g was a rallying point in our struggles for independence from The British Crown.

A child of privilege, Colin Kaepernick is an ungrateful, rabble rousing, publicity seeker. A has been, his premium quarterback sk**ls were already eroding by the time he began his kneeling protests.

If he finds this country and its principles so offensive, he should go to another less offensive to his sensitivities. Maybe he can market his sk**ls there but I doubt whether he’d find anything nearly as lucrative as an ordinary American job, let alone as a spokesman for a multi-national corporation.

I have purchased and used Nike products in the past but will not buy another while he remains a spokesman.

Thank you.

I have always felt that the Nike products I purchased were second rate any way. Their tennis shoes for sure. And, they stole their insignia from Star Trek.

Maybe they're made in Venezuela or Cuba or some other Workers' Paradise.

Kaepernick pulled a stunt devised at saving his f**gging career. Players got shamed into cooperating.

Never heard of them, however I'll do some research~

We hadn't heard of them either but a friend who has severe arthritis and a deformed foot recommended them. She was introduced to them by a person who also shows dogs in conformation, and has to be on his feet on concrete floors for hours each day running around in the dog show ring with a number of clients dogs. He had tried other brands but was getting so bad he was afraid he was going to have to retire from work as a professional dog handler until he tried the Hoka shoes. They worked well for him, and for our friend Diane, and they work great for us showing obedience dogs. Apparently they are highly regarded by people who have to be on their feet, and are getting older.

Exactly! Kaepernick was a mediocre QB and had to do something to keep himself in the lime light.

It's true, too! He was mad that they were starting a white guy ahead of him!

You probably don't even know what athletic shoes are.

For a half century, New Balance was the only athletic shoe cut to widths. Nike, Adidas, etc. all had just one. I have an EE to EEE foot and when I used those other brands, my feet were riddled with blisters.

For a very brief period, during the mid 1970s, there was a mail order company in Massachusetts, Wakefield I think, that had widths but I think they went out of business. They advertised in Runners' World.

The HOKA athletic shoes come in an assortment of widths as well as lengths.

OK.

I had to give up running when various physicians removed a half pint of fluid from my right knee after a marathon in 1980. An arthroscopy showed Grade II Chondromalacia Patellae. I had to give up running.

Oooohhhhh, Kevyn. I'm sorry, I almost forgot! You're a great athlete and an authority on athletic footware. Why you can walk and chew gun at the same time.
