The original poster of this topic, David Seaman, simply worded his original post poorly. As a teacher he should know better than to post a confusingly worded post.
But worse yet, he equates carrying a lesson plan, iPhone, or baton as a public school teacher with a serviceman carrying a rifle.
He’s delusional! There’s no comparison.
As a teacher he’s free to walk away for wh**ever reason. The serviceman enjoys no such freedom even if his life in in immediate danger. Walking away can be punishable by death.

Socialism is a necessary step to C*******m. Federal Government has done nothing for schools. One of the goals of C*******m is to take over the schools using design and the ignorance of teachers. It should have been turned over to the states as our founders intended it to be. These people can't run their mouth or budget so they sure can't run the education The Federal Reserve banksters donate out of their cold stone hearts our text books and they also decide who wrights them. Well, do you know what socialism is? I mean really: I’m interested in hearing what you fear or like about it. Public Schools are good, right? Public Works- road maintenance, parks, electric. And public service like police and fire, courts, tax assessors- all of it to support We The People. And the places that privatized public services screwed us. The Prison system is the perfect example.
But we *are* a socialist country. The root word, social, refers to Society. We are tribal people. We do not do well on our own- isolated. And the US hasn’t fought an honest war since 1945. I have so many younger friends who enlisted and served tour after tour in Afghanistan and Iraq. Some died there, others died after they returned. What does the Middle East War (2003 -present) have to do with our way of life? What were my friends fighting for?

Are services that benefit the whole society a bad thing or a good thing and how are we defining “social”?

It doesn't even have to be an immigrant. The whacked out l*****ts from Mexifornia abandon their former paradise because of terrible taxes and then what do they do when they get to Arizona. That's right, they try to implement the same socialist policies that led to the demise of the their American Dream in California. Why don't they 'chill' and try our version of society for a while before they try to turn Arizona into a lower taxed People's Worker's Paradise? We loved what we had here before we were invaded by Mexifornia's refugees.
