He will NEVER back our currency by gold-----he's too busy trying to get interest rate cuts from the Fed so that he can print MORE useless paper to flood into our monetary system so that he can send us more into debt.
Not only that, if he does back our currency by gold, a LOT of HIS and American wealth will disappear overnight----there will be a run on the banks for cash, and the system will crash, and American goes to panic and chaos. Think about it...

oh I think that your just mad that the repubs didn't let obumer reach 30 trillion in national debt . well them repubs. were elected to try and stop the wasteful spending and cut things back . and yes our national debt has increased , but not like it would of been if your hitlary , would of been elected . we would be on the verge of bankruptcy by now .

I'm wearing a north Face jacket liner and crampons. That photo was taken in Antarctica on top of a mountain called Demariah (pretty sure I spelled that wrong), a mountain on the penninsula opposite Galindez Island. We climbed it to a cairn at the summit so the height could be measured and compared to a measurement done in the early 1900s. The view was amazing. We could even see the Biscoe Islands, about 300 miles away.

300 miles ha, I can see the moon and it's a lot further.

Okay, that explains why it looks like a gi to me. Another mystery solved.

I thought Antartica was supposed to be left pristine and now everyone seems to be going there, even tourist.

Any good stories you want to share? That Piri Reis map is pretty accurate, should be some buried cities under that snow and ice.

When I was there, it was pristine, I mean literally. Most of the places I went to had never been visited before. That was 30 years ago. Now they have an airport at Rothera (Anvers Island) and the base I was on has been handed off to the Chileans. They were building the airstrip when I left. As for stories, hundreds. I've been told I should write a book and maybe I will, one day.

I loved it there and didn't want to leave. When the time came, I felt like I was leaving home as a teenager again, that's how truly awesome it was.

Sounds awesome, I felt a little like when I visited the Neuschwanstein Castle. There is a lake near the base, snow covered the surrounding area, then about a dozen hot air balloons floated into sight. Too beautiful for words.

Your right, Walt Disney used it as a model for his opening logo on tv.
