http://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/press-releases/5624/cfs-statement-trump-signs-executive-order-to-further-gut-federal-gmo-oversight"CFS Statement: Trump Signs Executive Order to Further Gut Federal GMO Oversight
Washington, D.C.—On Tuesday, President Trump signed an executive order (EO) directing federal agencies to scale back regulation of genetically engineered organisms, popularly known as GMOs. The EO directs agencies to exempt many GMOs from regulation, and as a result, an increasing number of GMO crops and animals will not be subject to scientific review by any federal agencies. Trump's EO comes just one week after the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a proposed rule to sharply limit and otherwise weaken regulation of GMOs that fall under its jurisdiction. It also marks the first time President Trump has publicly aligned himself with pesticide-seed companies to promote the cultivation of GMO crops."

I read about Monsanto long before Trump became president ( No...I'm not taking up for him). What I didn't like was this...a farmer did not want to use GMO seed on his farm. The farm across the street did. Some of the Monsanto seed blew onto the first farms property and grew. Monsanto sued the first farmer and now he MUST buy seed from Monsanto, it being illegal not to. That's un-American to me.
As for Trump, I've always said that if he did anything I didn't like I would say so. I would like more facts about it but I see no way for this to have been a good decision...in other words, I DON'T like it that he signed this bill.
He has satisfied me in the rest of his tenure so I can't condemn him for this one. No president has ever made everybody happy all the time, not by a long shot. I still support him 100%.

Its not just un-American - its downright criminal and immoral on Monsanto's part.

A totally disingenuous relating of what the Executive Order 13874 of June 11, 2019 (not June 12) is about. The title is, "Modernizing the Regulatory Framework for Agricultural Biotechnology Products" It says, "The United States must employ a science-based regulatory system that evaluates products based on human health and safety and potential benefits and risks to the environment." In other words, up to date regulating of the GMOs to take into account modern technology. How well could we regulate GMOs by regulations written for 20th century technology for companies on the cutting edge of modern technology. If you want to prevent companies from finding naively dated loopholes to exploit, you'd be in favor of the EO.

Anyone who doesn't fear a plant that sucks up pesticide and thrives on it is a pure fool. That plants take in nutrients and things in the soil is pure common sense even i***ts can understand. The reason a person who cares about what they eat needs to know whether a product is GMO free is because people should worry about pesticide loving food plants. Anyone who gets into gardening and growing vegetables and fruit usually knows the difference between organic and chemical supplemented produce.
People who care about what they eat should not be at the mercy of i***ts that don't.

I thought the left was suppose to be pro science. Do you really think companies engineer food plants to suck up pesticides? For what reason? How would it profit them? But that is the sort of education the colleges are giving to the educated left.
Don't read ANY article whether left or right if you want to know what is in the EO. Instead of whose story will I willingly be fed whole cloth, READ the EO itself! Is that so hard a concept? Executive Order 13874 of June 11, 2019.

Yes I dispute it because I read the EO.

It's not a bill but an EO. How do you know you don't like him signing it if you hadn't read it? And I'd love to see the court case of your story. Something smells fishy to me for this to happen in the US.

I actually don't care if the site is right leaning or left leaning honestly. It is when they aren't factual that I have issues with them. Natural News is another such example of a "garbage" site as they report f**e news too. I will have to read the AP article though.
