Richard Rowland brought this article to my attention in his post "5G and Now This". http://newswithviews.com/americans-shocked-angered-trumps-latest-gmo-executive-order/

I don't want to duplicate his efforts, but I felt that a large number of people on OPP who are concerned about GMO's may miss his post.

Vaccines, GMO's, 5G.... "Americans have shown time and time again they don’t want GMO garbage and they don’t want to be Monsanto’s guinea pigs.

Remember how when Trump was running for president, he met with Robert F. Kennedy and said he would have him chair a commission to investigate vaccine safety?

Just as with his promised executive order on birthright citizenship before the midterms, his promised vaccine safety commission never materialized."

There is only one focus for this and every other administration - making money. Profit before people, and Trump is no exception.

I’m not leaping to any conclusions because there will be more and more of this dirty laundry coming out to smear Trump. Just remember all the trash that’s out there on the Democrat side that has never been brought to any court.

There is no excuse for ANY president to have let Monsanto have so much control over our food. This isn't a partisan issue - republicans and democrats have both betrayed us. Trump is dead wrong on this.

I still want to know more facts. Sorry. He’s done a lot for this country and I’ve been very happy with the results of my vote for president. The last guy was a big hoax and it’s hard for me to accept that we’ve elected another one. I guess Im not as pessimistic as I thought.

GMO shouldn't be seen as something opposed to Organic Products, !! GMO is what people have done since selected seeds were given a priority when planting, the only difference is thousands of years get narrowed down to decades, this is speeding up bugs as well as well as profits, which is the most harmful bug in town ?.

Satan, !! maybe, but many have reservations about that, Elvis said it was the Beatles because they were eating his lunch, I suppose it depends on what you eat really.

Furthermore if you live on the beach you might say the sand fly, but for me it's the Black Widow I traded surfing for the bush because a sand fly causes the 7 year itch every day regardless of where you hang out, whereas the Black Widow can only hit a Bachelor once and then he's in Paradise.

Fear of GMOs is another fear that is unfounded, like antivaxers. I just think in the case of GMOs, it ought to be labled. Give the sicence illerste a choice. Unlike not vaccinating you are not risking other people.

This type of coverage about executive orders and gutting regulations is easy to check and real. It's up to people to check rather than taking the attitude that it might or must be a smear so ignore it. Ignorance is the zone Trump operates in because of people who won't respond to reality we should be worried about.

This is damage Trump is doing to this country and people by undoing regulations meant to keep people safe, there is no reason to allow chemical companies to use the things that are dangerous.

Fear of the unknown is not unfounded fear.

Anyone who doesn't fear a plant that sucks up pesticide and thrives on it is a pure fool. That plants take in nutrients and things in the soil is pure common sense even idiots can understand. The reason a person who cares about what they eat needs to know whether a product is GMO free is because people should worry about pesticide loving food plants. Anyone who gets into gardening and growing vegetables and fruit usually knows the difference between organic and chemical supplemented produce.

People who care about what they eat should not be at the mercy of idiots that don't.

Do some research on Monsanto for some answers to your questions. You’ll be surprised what they’ve gotten away with

Have you actually read the E.O., or just read the leftist slanted article that suits your politics?

You are basically right AND wrong at the same time. That site IS garbage but it is extreme right wing, NOT left wing.

Read the Associated Press article - https://www.apnews.com/2895e0f0ef344d16bfcf6f457ed2e759 or the Natural News article - https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-06-12-trump-signs-executive-order-genetically-engineered-food.html

Now are you going to use the "attack the messenger" argument and dismiss those sites as being leftist slanted, or will you deal with the issue at hand?

"Under the new rules, modern-day GMO corn and soybean crops would have never been subjected to safety testing at all. As AP reports:

Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture proposed changing its regulations in a way that would mean much of the genetically modified corn and soy grown in the U.S. today would not necessarily have been subject to special oversight."
