Hello to my fellow OPP liberal and conservative.
Earthquakes are not political when you are in one, unfortunately the USGS does play games that could cause injuries or death.
I'm surprised having been giving warnings and forecast, there hasn't been more interest or questions. Only three have asked the risk in the area they or someone they know lives in or near.

Warning : I'm forecasting a 7.7 very near Fukushima nuke area within the next 10 days.

Warning : there have been more deep earthquakes over the last week and a half than any time since recording began. Indonesia has historically the highest number of "Deep" Earthquakes responsible for generating shallow earthquakes around the world.
But now Russia, Argentina, Japan, Fiji, Tonga, Indonesia all have been having multiple deep earthquakes and unusual Iran and Afghanistan have joined the deep earthquake status.

Warning : on higher level deep earthquakes we see the energy moving the plates in the west (Indonesia area) and then compensating North and South American continents with the lesser energy reaching and pushing on the North and greater energy South America.
TODAY EVERY PLATE IS UNDER PRESSURE AND MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Argentina is another area I'm forecasting a larger 6.9-7.1

Northeast States 5.5-6.0
I'm watching the extreme energy in South America and forecasting it to go against its normal path as a result of the high energy and push what normally would be 2.0 magnitude energy, but I see it merging with the energy coming down from western states Washington, Montana and as it flows down to New Mexico around Colorado, Oklahoma, the energy from the South with join with the energy from the north causing Northeast strong earthquakes.

WARNING : what's different now than historical.
We had a major Volcanic eruption to 63,000 feet and right after and same area another volcano erupted to 48,000 feet.

The 8.0 earthquake about two months ago was compensation from a hugh Volcanic eruption to 40,000 feet in Indonesia. You may remember the 8.0 that hit Chili

Here in the states we have shallow earthquakes which is energy traveling either along the plate boundary or through the plate releasing at weak or thin points in the earth's crust.

Two types of deep earthquakes. One that is deep in the earth's crust, and the other from energy hammering from deep inside the earth up on the underside of the earth's crust.

We have had dozens of from under the earth's crust and now combined with not one but two massive volcanoes, one a record breaker.

WARNING!!!!!! Two unprecedented simultaneously massive Volcanic eruptions plus dozens of Deep Earthquakes over a very short period of just days (June 24th).


WARNING : There are only a few of us that forecast earthquakes with over an 80% accuracy.
Forecast includes location, within 10 days (often within 1-5days), magnitude. Generally errors are never location, days. What does occur is a forecast of a 5.0 earthquake actually strike as a 4.0 or 6.0 which I would still consider a hit. The magnitude warning that majority of news agencies have set as an alert is 5.0 magnitude and the USGS is proven to reclassify or originally report it as a 4.9, they even consistently will reduce a 5.5 to a 4.9 and a 5.8 they reduce to a 5.1. The USGS has not reported earthquakes anywhere on Oregon state onshore and only reports earthquakes off shore and near the border of Northern California. I have proven this and can prove it. The recent deep earthquakes around the world the USGS has only reported about half of them. Anyone wanting a phone app that notifies them of earthquakes it must include EMSC (European earthquake reporting agency), CSME, NEIC, IRIS. there are sites that will show reporting from over 50 agencies. Then equipped with multiple reporting agencies you can know the actual magnitude and real number of earthquakes.

In collaboration with other earthquake forecasters we share a common word in our exchange.... Concern, concern, concerns for what this massive energy that is able to move all the plates around the globe will t***slate into earthquake magnitude depending on how the energy could merge /combine as it moves around the plate boundaries and accross /Through the plates. Could this set off multiple 7.5 or 8.0 even 8.5's. We all agree there is a strong possibility and the other common words we each repeated several times "I hope I'm wrong"

Watch areas Indonesia, Japan, South America for the highest magnitude.

Did you know???? What is the difference between a 5.0 earthquake and a 5.1?

Answer... 10 times more powerful
And a 5.2 is ten times more powerful than a 5.1
Concern is in the event a 6.0, 6.1, 6.2 hits an American city. Depending on soil makeup, materials buildings are made of, depth of earthquake, bridges, overpasses, population density, time of day. The perfect combination could be disastrous causing massive injuries, deaths, property damage.

I'll be back and post more updates. After being up studying these events over the last two days, time for a few hours of sleep.

PLEASE, be prepared
Be safe, have a go bag with flashlight, snack bars, medicine, cash, extra set of car keys, basic first aid, water, cloths, shoes.
Imagine a disastrous event at night, the electricity goes out and debris all over trying to find a flashlight, keys, wallet..... And there's damage to the property with threat of aftershocks.

Best to be prepared


Be safe, there is accuracy in earthquake forecasting but with the current state of events there are unknowns but also the possibility of those unknowns to be a worse case scenario. I'll be staying on top of this and turn the unknowns into updates and watches.

My pleasure.

After a few years on this OPP forum I have grown fond of so many and even liberals that have opposite views and opinions. There have been many of these liberals who over the past years have shared life's experiences, tragedies, death of a family member, illness or how they have their favorite fishing hole, filling the stringer with trout. They have humanized themselves instead of a political rival, I see them as a individual who frustrates me, as they type out their opposing views.

So after years on OPP if I can help prepare everyone, even my liberal friends, then we both win.

What state do you live in or city if you don't mind sharing it on this forum?

I live in Illinois, mostly no earthquakes (once in a while) but I have good friends and family living in new Mexico and also all along the west coast

When I was a child we lived for a short in Oregon don't remember where but we would go to craters of the moon thats what my mom called it old volcanoes filled with water it was stunning. Question are these volcanoes that they say are dead able to become active again???

I live in Illinois about 100 miles from Chicago thank God. I sure wouldn't want to live in Chicago. Pritzker is taxing Illinois to death so if we don't get k**led by an earthquake we starve to death under the new taxes.

Oh, and dont forget also becoming non property owners. Property taxes are so insane that there are many who pay $1000 plus per month for their property taxes.......

I'm on the lower property tax plan but I have to fill out a form every year to keep them low about $3000 a year. Also my license plates were only costing me $25.00 a year because I am on social security I don't know whether they will stay at 425.00 or whether Pritzker will raise those as well. He seems to have no compassion so far anyway.

Nope. Gotta fund those ridiculously high government and city pensions and the social welfare programs dontcha know. Maybe yours will just be raised proportionally to what the raise is. Like go up to $37.50. Cuz the raise for regular vehicles is 50%. Unless you have an electric vehicle. Now those plates are $17.50 and they're going up to $500 cuz they dont pay their share of the gas tax. Too funny
