Kamala Harris Question

I am confused. The media frequently describes Harris as African American. Yet her Wikipedia bio says her mother was born in India and her father born in Jamaica; both highly successful professionals who immigrated to California in the early ‘70s. I have not heard Harris claim African American heritage directly, but she hasn’t denied it either. The US Senate web page lists her as one of 3 serving African American senators. I cannot find a basis in her heritage for that determination. I’m not looking to be judgmental one way or another. I’m just looking for clarity.

I think it’s a fair question deserving a serious answer. I mean Elizabeth Warren was excoriated by the media for “cultural appropriation” of Native American ancestry. I don’t understand whether Harris is getting a free pass or her African American ancestry is legitimate.

I thought all you had to do these days was identify as something. I believe that Ms Harris stands ready to identify as anything that will seem to be advantageous to her campaign. I also believe that she may be a little gun-shy because of the issue that Pocahontas had with her identifying as an American Indian. Time will tell.

Well said. But so many news outlets have referred to her as African American I feel it is incumbent upon her to correct it if it is indeed inaccurate.

Why is this so important? Who cares what race she is, she's a hard-core progressive who screwed her way up the political ladder. Maybe she's a Klingon.

I didn’t attribute any level of importance to my question. I said the matter was confusing and I couldn’t understand why multiple media outlets might be misreporting her ethnicity. I agree, what matter is her ethnicity anyway? But since the media thinks it’s important enough to mention so frequently, we should all want to be sure they’re getting it correct.

So it’s true, she’s the one that was using sex to climb the political ladder ?

In today's world your image projected is the answer.
So a dark tan will get you the African look or any dark
skinned ancestry....

Camel Hairless is one big lying l*****t who is using the race card and victim card to try and gain the position of the presidency while sleeping her way to the top. Like the other 70 l*****t demonbrats she has no credibility and obviously lacks moral values. To even have her running for President is a slap in the face of every American as she is worthless, just like bathhouse barry ovommit was useless and worthless!!
