Rep. Omar was speechless when confronted with hard questions by Bexte, including if Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is her brother.

Rebel Media reports that documents pulled from the Minneapolis Courthouse indicate that while Omar was allegedly married to her brother, she was also living with another husband in Minneapolis.

In early June Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was ordered to pay a $500 civil fine for violating campaign finance law. The investigation revealed that Omar had filed joint tax returns with a man who she was not married to.

Things that make you go hmmm: Read this closely and keep in mind that @ilhanmn was legally married to Ahmed Elmi from 2009-2017 while also filing joint tax returns with Ahmed Hirsi in 2014 and 2015. Time to get federal IRS officials involved...

According to a report from Spectator, Omar has previously said that she is “not legally married to two people, but I am legally married to one and culturally married to another.”

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar must personally pay a $500 civil fine to the state for violating a campaign finance law, the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ordered Thursday.

In addition, Omar must reimburse her political campaign $3,469 for improperly used campaign funds, the board said in its decision.

Five times, Omar’s campaign improperly paid hotel or travel expenses for Omar to attend out-of-state events in 2017, the board found. In other cases, the board found Omar’s campaign had paid for Omar’s immigration records and two years of tax returns without justifying their benefit to her campaign.....

Married her brother? this was a question when she ran for state ofice a few years ago..

She seems pretty popular with her constituants, who at this point are the only ones who matter.

She won with 70% of the district v**e.. looks secure to me..

Some republican guy has filed demanding yet another look at her deeds..

It seems he must want a different Democrat representing the district.. It sure will not be him..a rat of a gop.

I have no idea bobby.. it would be high number, her district is most of Mpls. but not all.

It also includes thee U of MN, a Jewish area, the old tepee town which may be mostly Somali now, I have been told both yes and no on that. Also some old high end parts of the city..

And while she would and did no doubt get near 100% v**e from them, in the primaries she had some heated competition from other Somali running for office.. so removing her would still probably result in another Somali in the office..

In Minnesota, ID is required when registering... when you are on the list, then a signature is adequate.
the signing can be challenged, but I am do not know how it works..

And if you thing 1000s of i******s are rushing to the Polls to v**e, think of the risk involved for that one v**e. trouble with ICE, lose of rights, deportation.. back to the war and poverty they ran from..

No way would you find many people willing to try that chance..

Among people whose worldview doesn’t linger on empathy, there’s a myth that Minnesota’s 50,000 or so Somalis came here to do little more than mooch welfare and bathe in our tropical weather.

The logic, if one could call it that, is that a people who endured lawlessness, genocide, and abject poverty were supposed to instantly thrive in a new land, avoiding state aide while simultaneously not stealing our jobs.

But the latest snapshot from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that Somalis – and Minnesota’s immigrants in general – are doing as well as can be expected. At least compared to the Europeans who arrived before them.

According to the bureau’s American Community Survey released last month, 87 percent of Somali households have at least one person working. That’s lower than the state’s general population, but nonetheless impressive when considering the context.

The state is now home to 457,000 immigrants, nearly half of whom have already become naturalized citizens. While they may still be concentrated in lower-wage work – 60,000 are employed in health care services, for example – they now compose 20 percent of the workforce in computer and math-related fields.

They’re also showing an entrepreneurial streak, with 24,000 businesses that generate $489 million annually.

Most important – at least to those whose hearts need rust-proofing – is that they’re kicking huge dollars to the state treasury, especially in the metro area.

Just four counties – Hennepin, Ramsey, Dakota, and Washington – produce more state income tax revenue than the remaining 83 combined. Immigrants, largely concentrated in the Twin Cities, provide for $1.1 billion in state and local taxes each year.

So hear ye, dear h**ers from St. Cloud, Willmar, and beyond: The next time you feel like grumbling about the immigrants, you might wish to consult your wallet first.
