The blessings of overcomers
In the second and third chapters of Revelation,overcomers are blessed in each church. The word overcomer is defined as getting the victory over obstacles, If you are teaching God’s word, satan will move the gates of hell to either discredit you or make you doubt.Only overcomers are blessed. Overcomers in Ephesus get to eat from the tree of life. In Genesis 3:22, if you eat from the tree of life, you live forever. Overcomers in Smyrna will not be hurt by the second death. Which is the same blessing.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.
Hebrews 9:27
And death and hell were cast into the of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:14
None of us can know for sure we are saved until we have been judged Some of us will die twice. Overcomers in Pergamos will eat from the hidden manna, and be given a new name. Only the person receiving the name will know it. We have it wrong. God is in control. Disciples follow Jesus and take up a cross. A true disciples life is going to suck, and they will be treated worse by those that need them most. Overcomers in Thyatira get power over nations and the morning star. You better hope this ain’t me. I will give as much compassion as I received. Overcomers in Sardis are given white raiment, and not have their names blotted out of the book of life. This clearly says your name can be written in the book of life, and later blotted out. Overcomers in Philadelphia will be made pillars in the temple of God. In Laodicea, overcomers get to sit with Jesus, they overcame like He did.
And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.
