Death is very common, lol, not worth resistance or even a thought, like taking a cup of coffee...black

Any individual usually does not think so. It is something of a big deal. To be no longer, gone forever from air and sunlight and loved ones seems a problem. Not really for the followers of Christ. By his example, death is nothing. A sneeze, perhaps. A folded tent.

The way of Christ is radically different than conventional wisdom and contrary to worldly values. And the soul's, not the spirit's, survival instinct; it is a hindrance to Faith. God cares nothing about such base considerations of our mortality.

Dividing soul from spirit, bone from marrow. Loving an enemy that will k**l us and our family without h**e or violence is demanded, expected. This is to be "as perfect as the father in heaven." What is the possible allure to this mortal coil compared to Eternity? Believe in everlasting life fully and completely or be at enmity with God.

Death is not an end! You need to fully absorb that very difficult fact. To lose our life is stepping into Paradise. It is not a loss. To believe on Christ about the nature of death is essential to living the way of Christ. No other path.

A Christian does not look to sacrifice themselves. They are meant for joy. Yet they are meant more for the glory of God, wh**ever that may take. But it is as Job elegantly said, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust him." Death comes to all, with a supposedly few exceptions no longer as options. Escaping is not an option. No one gets out of here alive. How best to die? The time we live is a silly asterisk. Years of life mean nothing.

Yes, so I heard. But the news is helpful, provides a focus. It forced me rethink things. An entirely new agenda of importance. Very freeing.

Death comes to us all sometime. While I am here, my goal is to help make the little bit of the world that I live in a better place. However, my perception of "a better place" does not include allowing everyone free range to do what ever they want, no matter how many people get damaged by their decisions. That is where my perceptions differ from those of the "progressives"

So, your definition of Progressive is "allowing everyone free range to do what ever they want, no matter how many people get damaged by their decisions"? If that was what I knew or believed about Progressives, I would have nothing to do with them as well. But that is not the t***h.

I am responding relating to the comments from those who call them selves Progressives, or Democratic socialists and what they say on OPP. Often they state that what they consider right for them is all that matters to them, and none of any other person's business.

I do not call and will never call myself a Progressive or Democratic socialist. My title or label is US citizen. If you are saying "what they consider right for them is all that matters to them," don't you? Core values. Integrity. Are your beliefs my business or anyne's?
