Hong Kong wins for now

China has decided to back off their demand of extradition to the mainland after millions protest. Hong Kong plans one more demonstration this coming Sunday to encourage people to get rid of chief executive Carrie Lam. This extradition rule would have allowed "anyone" making a connecting flight through Hong Kong to be haul off to the mainland also. Hong Kong police seem more than willing to use tear gas and fire rubber bullets on its fellow citizens. I think this issue will arise again sometime in the future.

There are times when that many disagree they should use overwhelming physical force against not only the police but the government as well. Yes, some will be k**led but their freedom will be preserved and huge message sent world wide. It might even affect us enough to stand on principle. Mike

Maybe or China may have sent tanks in again. I think they are more worried about the tariffs and their Belt and Road agenda right now. Crushing dissent would make a lot of nations cancel or not renew deals with China, especially in Asia. It's always about "power" and "money". They go together like soup and sandwiches.

In the end the Socialist-C*******ts cannot allow Hong Kong to show any independent thought. They must totally crush the freedom loving people of Hong Kong because if they do not, independent thinking will spread to the mainland. No matter what the cost, Hong Kong must become as the rest of China is. Freedom is dangerous. In the old Soviet Empire they crushed freedom of thought until they finally collapsed. The Chinese C*******ts will follow the same path because they must.

I know, but I'll be praying for Divine Intervention just the same.

I am guessing that at some point there will be a mass exodus out of Hong Kong to Western Nations. I see no other answer.

A lot of its people are wealthy. I'm sure many will see the writing on the wall and will leave. Maybe if we can reform our immigration requirements we can take most of them. After we deport the i******s. Trump says ICE starts deporting millions next week. Must be a coincident, time will tell.

I think a lot of rich Chinese anti C*******t Capitalists would be a win-win for us and them. Then the C*******ts can t***sition Hong Kong into a Socialist Slum like Venezuela, Newark, San Francisco, Chicago, or Detroit. It would be a great place for all of those Americans who keep promising to leave if Trump gets reelected.

Never gonna happen, our c*******t would only leave the USA feet first or in chains headed to GITMO. They're not that dedicated to their lies.

Your point is well taken. They sure did lie about leaving in 2016.

==================
Hongkong has been used to freedom under the British for 156 years. They succeeded every year during the British government. Now, under c*******t China, a huge change when their freedom and liberty are taken away. Marching in millions on the streets, shows they want to keep the same liberty and freedom that they had before. They succeeded and grew under that conditions. That is the life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They will protect that and defend with all their lives. It is showing.
God bless Hongkong the people.

Well, I hope Xi (president for life) understands that. C*******m is like Islam if they ever controlled an area they think it's theirs forever. Like Taiwan. China will starve them into surrender if it comes to that. Or just use its superior numbers to overwhelm them. Depends on what kind of person Xi is and the politicians who surround him are.
