"I'm Tired!!"

I'm 70 And I'm Tired

This should be required reading for every man, woman, and child in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

By Robert A. Hall

I'm 70 ... Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a 6-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired ... of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired ... of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men k*****g their sisters, wives, and daughters for their family "honor," of Muslims r**ting over some slight offense, of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers," of Muslims burning schools for girls, of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery," of Muslims mutilating the g*****ls of little girls, all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Sharia law tells them to.

I'm tired ... of being told that, out of "tolerance for other cultures," we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach h**e in America and Canada, while no American nor Canadian group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue, or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired ... of being told I must lower my living standard to fight g****l w*****g, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired ... of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired ... of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers, and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes, or youthful mistakes when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired ... of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination, or big-wh**ever for their problems.

Yes, I'm am tired ... but I'm also glad to be 70, because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my grandchildren.

70 years old working 50 hour weeks with no retirement in sight is the result of making poor decisions and living in a nation without adequate provisions for the elderly. You should have worked at a firm where workers had sound union representation. Most union shops have solid defined benefit pensions, retiree healthcare and good benefits. You should have v**ed for candidates who supported policy that takes care of the middle and working class. You choose to blame your misery and fatigue on people who don’t keep their noses to the grindstone for the man, rather than on your own personal failure. At your age you should have learned that keeping your nose to the grindstone lines someone else’s pockets and leaves you with your nose ground off. You choose to blame all of the 1.6 billion Muslims for the evil actions of a few, ignoring the fact that in this nation we measure a mans worth by his individual actions and deeds not race or creed. It is sad that you do not feel a sense of entitlement for your grandkids. They are entitled to a clean safe planet and you make excuses for people who are using the world they will inherit as a pit toilet.

He is in his predicament because of the policies that have been installed by people such as you.
It would be far too involved to refure each and every one of your erroneous statements that you present as t***h.

Thanks for your post,Don. Many of us are in that boat, and in spite of the aches, pains and monotony, can tell ourselves a solid work ethic is It's own reward.I see some young people embracing it and other values, mostly due to good parenting. All is not lost. And for what It's worth,I can't imagine God allowing these Noble human qualities going to waste.
Happy Father's Day , all.I

Thank you Don for putting this up. It is a great moral lesson for all to read. I must congratulate Robert A Hall. He is brilliant for all he has done, and laid out together for us to feel. I feel the same. I think
there are many among the Conservatives with similar experiences but do not express the same as Paul. How honest you are Paul. And thank you for all what you've done and for your service. I believe you.

The opposite is true to all democrats, liberals, and socialists. They are the suckers. They take some other people's hard earned lives, depend on the government until it is bankrupted. Bernie Sanders, AOC, Omar, and Talib, and the rests of the DEMS, wants to turn around this country to Socialism where they depend everything from the government until it is bankrupted. Then after that they get hungry, violence and r**ts follow. That is the kind of life that makes up of those Socialists, Liberals, and Progressives. They don't want to earn but depend on others who sacrifice to earn what they got.

God said, those who don't work don't eat.

Kev wants the gov to take care of everyone from cradle to grave but he won't pay any taxes to support these so called just causes because he supports full unemployment and is himself not seeking work.
