President Trump did not go on TV and say he would commit treason. He said if someone offered him some opposition research on a political opponent, he would take a look at it.

If you are going to label a national security advisor a Russian agent just because he had a conversation with a Russian, then you will have to label just about every American government official, elected or appointed, who ever spoke with a foreigner as a foreign agent. You're going to end up with a very long list. Go back to WW2 and work your way forward. Every POTUS will be on the list.
