I never have understood, "why" 10% of our population....{ gay's, lesbians, & 'sexually confused" people}, are getting 90% of the publicity! I am "Proud of being heterosexual".....it's "Normal", & moral....{ the "other way, is not}......Our Christian society has always been based on the union of a "Man, & a Woman".....anything else, is "unnatural, & un-acceptable"......{ PERIOD! }......

For the same reason that Black women can be in the Miss America contest but White women can't be in the Miss Black America contest. Double standards. Mike

You might have a very valid point there. Wouldn’t blame them.

He doesn't know what he is talking about. I was in an Honor Guard and Color Guard in Europe. Even then there is not so much marching. Anyone proud to serve America doesn't get tired of this.

There is nothing wrong with being homosexual. What they do to act out their impulses though is a sinful a*********n.

Good morning, Kyle, my friend,
You are quite right, but I can see where proud republican is coming from. I mean, if we are giving an entire moth to a small group because of their sexual preferences, shouldn't the rest of us get 1 day of recognition?...no parades, publicity, bells, or whistles, just a quiet straight p***e day. I'm not saying we should do it, just that's it's not unreasonable.
Thanks for your advice...I'm feeling a bit better this morning.
You friend, David

If one steps back from personal feelings about L***Q people, it's pretty easy to see the reasoning behind P***e month. Having been taught to be ashamed of one's orientation for centuries, once that stigma begins to lift people naturally want to express their p***e in their identity

Once straight people have gone down that that same road and are no longer fired from their jobs, disowned by their families and mugged simply for being straight, then a straight p***e parade seems in order to me.

I think the actual percentage of gays is way less than 10%. I'd bet it's closer to 1%. Even with all the heavy proselytizing going on where gays try to recruit others into their perverted lifestyle.

I disagree. You've got it completely backwards. You say that once the stigma lifts, people want to show p***e in their new sexuality.

The reason gays have p***e events is precisely to eliminate any lingering feelings of guilt. Stamp them out forever! By going overboard into acceptance, they put out any that small voice of lingering conscience that is still calling them back to the light. The flickering light which represents the last remaining vestige of conscience.

As you correctly state, for centuries people have known that man-woman sexual relations were the norm. And people have inherently known that same sex was an a*********n, unnatural. Science even tells us it leads to terrible diseases.
So if you want to be done with the still flickering light of conscience, and have it extinguished eternally, go all out and celebrate your perversion. Call it p***e. And appropriate God's covenant to Noah that he would never flood the earth again, the rainbow.
You'll have embraced the darkness and Satan will welcome you.

I suppose that no " L***Q people " have ever been targeted for refusing to make a straight wedding cake ?

I am a WASP heterosexual male and people think I should be ashamed of what I am. I have also been a victim of reverse discrimination. We all have crosses to bear.

Something for you to consider. It is not intended to slight anyone's beliefs.

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat...

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.
In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school... The Bible says thou shalt not k**l; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about.. And we said okay..

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to k**l strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully, Ben Stein

If we want a straight parade, who cares whether the rainbow crowd like it. Just do it, but be very careful. Hire some bodyguards.!!

That’s something else that I’ve thought rather unusual and irregular for many years.
These things just don’t make sense, do they!

I resemble that remark. From time to time, when they are short on marchers, I get drafted to march in a Celtic street parade with what I am told is a real live Irish or Scottish or some kind of Celtic s word. They even pay me to do it by giving me a belt of Scotch. I don't even wear a Kilt, and the people cheer us. I think parades and whiskey go together with cool looking swords.

I like the wee dram part.
