Democrats blast Trump for forcing Mexico deal to cut i*****l i*********n
By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times
Saturday, June 8, 2019

Democrats lashed out in all directions at President Trump after he won concessions from Mexico to try to stop the flow of i*****l i*******ts at the border.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chided the president Saturday for his method, saying his threat of tariffs was unbecoming of a friendly country’s treatment of a neighbor.

But Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer took a different approach, saying — seemingly with as much sarcasm as can drip on Twitter — that since Mr. Trump has struck a deal, he can stop talking about i*****l i*********n.

“Now that that problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future,” Mr. Schumer said.

Just days before Mr. Schumer had predicted Mr. Trump would cave and find a reason to revoke his tariff threat.

But the threat appears to have worked both to bring Mexico to the negotiating table and to win concessions that the Mexican government had been reluctant to agree to, including cooperating with the U.S. to hold Central American asylum-seekers while they are awaiting their cases in the U.S.

Mexico did, however, resist signing a “safe third country” agreement that would have allowed the U.S., of right, to return any non-Mexican asylum-seekers who crossed Mexico en route to the U.S.

Mexico did agree to revisit its actions over the next 90 days to see if they are working.

Mrs. Pelosi had opposed Mr. Trump’s goal of getting Mexico to hold onto asylum-seekers, saying it violated the migrants’ rights.

She said the U.S has a broader role to play in stopping the smuggling networks that orchestrate the flow of people.

And she said Mr. Trump was wrong to use tariffs to force compliance.

“President Trump undermined America’s preeminent leadership role in the world by recklessly threatening to impose tariffs on our close friend and neighbor to the south,” she said.

Why is Mexico not a more prominent figure in world economics? Corruption...that's why. In 1971(I was 18) we took a grand trip to the western states. We went across the border from El Paso to Juarez, Mexico. It had rained the night before and many of the poorer parts of town were flooded a foot or two. Most of what we saw looked poor and impoverished..until we came to an ex mayors chalet estupendo. All the ex mayors had a mansion, while most of the towns population was poor.
This is what's always been wrong with Mexico...the leaders get rich and the poor stay poor forever. Mexico has been a thorn in our side ever since we took Texas away. The only symbiotic relationship we ever had with Mex was fruit and vegetable pickers who came across the border for work (being poor from Mexico's corrupt government).
Can't just blame Mexico though. NAFTA caused the first giant wave of i******s coming to America for work, and since they work had for less money, employers latched onto them like a spring chicken on a June bug. This is true of BOTH sides of the aisle.
Ever since then, Mexico has been the entrance hall to the giant open doors of America. Trump did exactly the right thing an we see the results.
Pelosi is eaten up by Trump...he's in her brain like a cancer...he's eating her alive.
Trump takes care of American citizens, not illegal citizens or other countries!

Mexico Agreed to Take Border Actions Months Before Trump Announced Tariff Deal
WASHINGTON — The deal to avert tariffs that President Trump announced with great fanfare on Friday night consists largely of actions that Mexico had already promised to take in prior discussions with the United States over the past several months, according to officials from both countries who are familiar with the negotiations.
Friday’s joint declaration says Mexico agreed to the “deployment of its National Guard throughout Mexico, giving priority to its southern border.” But the Mexican government had already pledged to do that in March during secret talks in Miami between Kirstjen Nielsen, then the secretary of homeland security, and Olga Sanchez, the Mexican secretary of the interior, the officials said.
The centerpiece of Mr. Trump’s deal was an expansion of a program to allow asylum-seekers to remain in Mexico while their legal cases proceed. But that arrangement was reached in December in a pair of painstakingly negotiated diplomatic notes that the two countries exchanged. Ms. Nielsen announced the Migrant Protection Protocols during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee five days before Christmas.
And over the past week, negotiators failed to persuade Mexico to accept a “safe third country” treaty that would have given the United States the legal ability to reject asylum seekers if they had not sought refuge in Mexico first.
Mr. Trump hailed the agreement anyway on Saturday, writing on Twitter: “Everyone very excited about the new deal with Mexico!” He thanked the president of Mexico for “working so long and hard” on a plan to reduce the surge of migration into the United States.
It was unclear whether Mr. Trump believed that the agreement truly represented new and broader concessions, or whether the president understood the limits of the deal but accepted it as a face-saving way to escape from the political and economic consequences of imposing tariffs on Mexico, which he began threatening less than two weeks ago.
Having threatened Mexico with an escalating series of tariffs — starting at 5 percent and growing to 25 percent — the president faced enormous criticism from global leaders, business executives, Republican and Democratic lawmakers, and members of his own staff that he risked disrupting a critical marketplace.
After nine days of uncertainty, Mr. Trump backed down and accepted Mexico’s promises.

We had the House and Senate and the RINOS did nothing. They are all In it together. It’s about money. It always is. Mitch the b***h is a liar along with Pelosi and Schumer. Lot of money in the border problems. This problem has been going on forever. It couldn’t unless culprits from both sides were involved. There just happens to be more Dems than RINO’s involved

I think the Dems will surrender the House in a year and some because I think they're too committed to stupidity to keep it.

Remember The Outlaw Josie Wales?

Some young i***t heard Wales was coming to town and bragged all up and down he could beat Wales to the draw.

When he finally came face to face with Wales he realized he was outmatched but he'd made his brag and now he was committed.

So are the Dems and the media. They're committed to their stupid narrative and couldn't take back the last two years if they wanted to.

They are like the subjects in this poster:
