I seem to remember as a child in school, we studied a document. I think it was called a constitution. I remember it guaranteed some things like "freedom of speech".

If my memory is correct, How can Facebook eliminate postings it does not want to print, and how can OPP eliminate such people as Sicilianthing?

Freedom of speech has limitations. It does not give one the right to say anything, anytime, anywhere.

It is sad that you did not have the opportunity to attend a better school. If you did you would have been taught that the constitution protects you from the government impinging on your freedom of speech. Since facebook and OPP are privately owned companies they have absolutely no obligation to provide a platform for content they donโ€™t like. Sicilianthing can stand on a soapbox in the park spouting his nonsense without getting arrested but he has no right to post things here, nor do you or I it is all up to the moderator. Besides, how do you know he was blocked from here? I just assumed he was picked up by the guys in white suits with butterfly nets and returned to the asylum.

He was suspended because it says so when you type in his username. I would think a self-proclaimed authority such as yourself would be privy to that information, rather than being subjected to the ignominy of having it explained to you by a knuckle walking troglodyte conservative.

Hi I am Charlotte and new here, I too am just an old lady.

Once upon a time we had an education, this was changed in 1970 and more so in 1979.

We now have an edited version of what you and I had in school, clled Common Core (it is BS).
The constitution was taught in a class called CIVICS which was removed :-(
World History and American History was also taught, now you can forget about World History- removed.
The students get no real American History, it is fixed to fit the g*******t agenda.
YES after they k**led JFK who warned us about all that is really happening now, they went to work fast to change the rules, i*********n l*w, banking law, and they use International Law, notice how many Muslims are in our government and our court and legal system :-(
The constitution was slowly pushed back - they even k**led Judge Scalia the main "Constitutionalist" SADLY I am afraid the constitution is on some dusty old shelf.

Welcome to OPP, Charlotte. Sometimes we get a little overboard here.
You know, I read that the average high school senior today graduates with what would have been considered a mediocre 7th grade education in the early seventies when I graduated.
Every day I can confirm this. High school graduates who cannot make change, convert metric to standard or vice-versa; who cannot spell, punctuate or construct a proper sentence.
Hand one a pencil and paper and ask them to convert a decimal to a fraction. Ask about the Pythagorean Theorem. Wait for the "deer in the headlights" look of incomprehension.
This is not rocket science. This is mostly material that used to be taught in about the 4th-7th grade, perhaps 8th.

Congress grants them special exemptions, that needs to stop.

Smedley_buzk**l - I did not writ that one, but I do agree with it.

You look young. did you have a civics class when you went to school?
We had to know the constitution if we wanted to get out of HS.
we had to know the pledge of allegiance too.
We had great p***e in our service men.
Today is disheartening.... we still live in the greatest country which is sadly fading out of site. :-(
